Been testing my speeds over the last few days & here are the results.  Guess you guys knocked some sense into my system  :)   things seem to be working...for the moment at least.  Good to know I have a place to come for people that are knowledgable & willing to help.

Edited original post.  It was a 4000 2 way that I had before the 7000.  Sorry for the mix-up.

At home now & ran the speed tests:

Connection is:: 1042 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 127 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net  (main)
Test Time:: 2006/03/24 - 4:56pm
Bottom Line:: 19X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 8.06 sec
Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 23.515 seconds to complete
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Diagnosis: Looks Great : 8.88 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com)
