"Poormans dsl" would be 256/128
Your friend has 1.5/128 which wouldnbt be considered as poor mans. Hes actually got a good deal if hes paying $20 for it.

Pricing for certain speeds primarily depends on the area in which you live. The same speed packages can vary greatly in price from area to area.

I do know in my area that if you sign up on their specials and if you sign up for a year then you're stuck with it for that year weather you like it or not. If you cancel then you'll have to pay the remainder of the year that you signed up for. A friend of mine got into that when he signed up and he hated it.

Heh, your friend is telling you stories. That's not possible with conventional ADSL.

I got sbc yahoo dsl!
I think its a great deal for the price too. Its just fast enough to satisfy pretty much anything.
Plus its my only good choice of price between dialup ($20 a month) and cable($50 a month with same speeds)
