  2. Been messing with tweaking for the past 2 days, dont think I will get a downstream any higher than this, not sure why I cant hit cap like I used to with verizon.

  4. Tried using my old Linksys BEFSR41 cable/dsl router, which didnt seem to want work well even after firmware upgrade, I then switched back to the D-LINK 604 router that was provided by Verizon, and am now getting these results : :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 12984 Kbps about 13 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1585 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Thu Jun 23 17:14:37 EDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 232X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.65 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 61.23 % faster than the average for host (231.31) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-QB15V8LGX Not sure if it was congestion with the tests before, cant seem to get any faster, not sure if there is anything else I can change with cable nut settings
  5. Used your Cable Nut Tweak setting, results : Miranda Virginia : Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 2.08Mb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 7.14Mb/s The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet Alarm: Duplex mismatch condition exists: Host set to HD and Switch set to FD Testmy.net : :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 12143 Kbps about 12.1 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1482 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Thu Jun 23 16:36:32 EDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 217X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.69 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 54.94 % faster than the average for host (231.31) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-OLPT0FYAS I tested testmy.net 5 times, got between 8000-9000 mostly, twice went just over 10000. Im a bit skeptic about the message from Miranda "Alarm: Duplex mismatch condition exists: Host set to HD and Switch set to FD" Im hoping this is just a congestion problem for today and going to do more testing tonight in hopes that this changes otherwise Im going to change to the 5mb /2 mb package, I changed to this ISP because I hated verizons routing out of Tampa.
  6. I just used the Miranda Speed Test site located in Virginia, and this was the result : Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8. I just used DRTCP, and set MTU to blank and set it to the current NIC Adaptor. I also used 251120 as the TCP Recieve Window, this was the recommended TCP window from using the tweak test on www.dslreports.com. This is the current download test results : :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5827 Kbps about 5.8 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 711 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Thu Jun 23 15:04:57 EDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 104X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.44 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 75.08 % of your hosts average (231.31) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-FR2V94GO6 Still only running about a 3rd of what I usually got on verizon which was around 14.7-15.5
  9. Alright thanks bud, let me go try that
  10. I just switched to a different fiber ISP here in tampa, Rapid Systems. That supplied me with a static IP instead of the PPPoE setting Verizon had in their package. Does anyone know or have had experience with tweaking static IP connections, Im not sure if its the same as tweaking with the Verizons FIOS, as I am still new to using tweaking tools. This is what I am currently getting on testmy.net : :::.. 11. Thanks Direwolf, 4-5th hop tracing wdc.speakeasy.net, 66ms same what I get for around 90% of the sites I try to connect to, I already spoke with Rapid Systems tech rep earlier today, I am switching off Verizons end in 5 days, I will post results from switching to Rapid systems. I also asked to obtain trace route results from their end through email of several sites that I hope to get back soon.
  12. If anyone on Rapid Systems fiber, can post a few trace routes of websites such as,
  13. I used your cable nut tweak settings Halo Box, and it gave me an extra 400-500k on the up, running tests through testmy.net . Appreciate it man :::.. 15. Sorry forgot to add a bit more information, I'm in Tampa, FL 15/2 Connection been running with this new connection for a good 2 months now.
