My name means "Why be normal at all?"
It is my most cherished of all questions.

EDIT: Interesting topics in here I love old threads, back in 2005 I was playing counter strike competitively, never for money but I always loved to play that game with worthy opponents, it becomes like chess if you are all at the same skill level. Just interesting to see when this thread started.

It seems the servers being used are from SL(SoftLayer). My ISP's upstream provider is L3(Level3). SL has 80Gb/s of peering with L3 in Dallas, but I am in the Midwest.

It seems SL only has 10Gb of peering with L3 in Chicago.  What happening is that my tracert goes from my ISP, to L3 Chicago, to SL Chicago, to SL Dallas. Now, SoftLayer only has a total of 20Gb of their own private bandwidth inter-connecting their datacenters.

When I tracert SL Dallas, the jump from SL Chic to SL Dal is a 24ms hop, while L3 Chic to L3 Dal is only 19ms. Since they take nearly the same path and the speed of light is quite fast, my conclusion is that SL's Chic to Dal link is a bit congested.

It seems to me that my speedtest issues are that L3 seems to be hot-handoff routing.

This is the best conclusion I can come to with my limit Google-Foo abilities.

Hello everyone i am new to this website and did a test. I did a speedtest and it shows the times of my connection id. To the right of the times it shows a star and a Apple symbol. When i move my mouse over it says Dallas, TX US => Ipad Detected Herndon VA. I dont own a ipad or live anywhere relatively close to Texas. Is someone else using my connection or have access to my computer?

So good to be free again. The fingers are freed.

And to think it only took a fewwwww years to get it back. But then it did get me in a lot of trouble  back then.

But since shug went into hiding it should not be too much trouble ............ oh yeah, momma T is probably still watching me.

THis might be an obvious one but the time window to edit posts kinda breaks the LIST topics where OP updates whenever...

Possibly allow it to be infinite edits on an OP's post? infinite time window?

and apparently when I edited this post it created a new topic -_(\

Yes I hear you. I think as a community wide consensus ( by that I mean to say over the years of developing towards what users of all permission levels have pitched a complaint want or need about )  -- the time restrictions came to play.

I remember back when -- someone would run back and change whgat they said after being called out on it lmao -- uhhm yea, like that, but with every restriction comes , or should i say goes some sort of freedom.

For now , one thing i can suggest is to change your view settings, which can place the latest post at the top , thats if you're not using the 'goto last post' features and such, so not sure how that will work out, likely just the same.

Again , editing posts after a longer period of time is in a sense reasonable, at the same time , terrible for SEO in some instances all the same.

None the less I'll being this up on the backside and see if it grows - fair enough ?

Hell , use skitch I do it all the time for support reasons, fast and has an actual extension

ybnrmalatall got a reaction from CA3LE in upgrading ubuntu...
I'm not calling you a newbie
I am just saying it is what it caters to :/

    Like example:

say you were to play counter strike 1.6

It is much harder then cs: source

BUT overall players can be much better and have more SKILL then the ones who play source due to the higher skill cap
    Same with ubuntu vs others
It is a little too newbie friendly to be able to do nearly as much as others

Just an opinion I don't think of you as a newbie though
