  1. Well, the original problem was that I am awlays having trouble streaming stuff over the internet. It buffers too much and the video skips a lot.
  2. ill check that out, but i didnt add all of my results in. this is what i got after retesting; :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 47 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 97 kB) Download Speed is:: 6 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Tue Jul 05 2005 18:00:39 GMT-0700 (Pacific Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB download in 170.67 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 8.9 % of your hosts average (mdsg-pacwest.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-UFVK0AR8P would this help at all?
  3. my ISP is mdsg-pacwest.com, so I guess it is under that. As for the dowload score, I got a 38 kpbs. Its really that bad..
  4. Ok, I know this says "broadband community" at the top, but I hope someone is willing to help out anyway. I have been having problems with my internet connection for a long time. I have a 56k modem, but its really, really slow. I want to have a faster interenet connection, like DSL or broadband, but my mom simply refuses to think of the idea. Considering that it would eliminate arguments over internet time and I would be able to do stuff on the internet much easier, she thinks that it is too much to pay for. So Im thinking of "tweaking" my internet connection so that I can at least get a somewhat better connection. But the problem is, im completely new to the idea. I dont know know that much about how to tweak my registry. Im afraid that if I try it, Windows will go corrupt and I would have to reinstall it on my computer for the third time this year. So with that said, is anyone willing to help me with my problem? Im using Windows XP, home edition.
