  1. I'm having major issues with Increasing the CPU Usage for a video conversion program called IMToo Video Converter Ultimate 6. I am using an AMD Athlon X6 1090T with 8GB of DDR3 2000 Memory on Dual Channel. The issue I'm having is that the conversion is only doing 40-60% CPU Usage for 1 conversion and about 60-100% for 2 or more simultaneous conversions using all 6 cores. I would like to know how to increase the CPU Usage to fully 100% for just 1 conversion. IMToo are of no help and don't seem to be offering any help at all.

  2. Same here, my true upload is far higher than this

I have Verizon FIOS 25/25 and if I can say, this site can't keep up with the faster speeds... thats why I go elsewhere for my speed tests  :evil6:

  3. Well according to Verizon as of Monday February 2nd, portions of Baltimore,MD now have a 5M/768K tier service at $39.99/mo  and when the 7.1 becomes available, it may be available at no additional cost or just $3 more at the cost of $42.99/mo if there is any kind of promotion available.

I easily topped 5.7Mbps last night after my modem was set to 5120/800 during the day and 5888/800 during the night so I can tell everyone, call about and see if the 5Mbps tier service is available in your area and get it so with the accelerated speeds during the night, it'll have the feel of close to 7.1Mbps for under $40.

  4. According to Verizon, they said I signed up for the 5Mbps but according to a Tech Support Representative, they claimed that their 7.1Mbps is actually 5Mbps just to fool those who think 7.1Mbps is the fastest  :idiot2:. 7.1Mbps radio ads were going around Baltimore yesterday saying 7.1Mbps and Phone for Business for $79.99. That is the price I pay for both now but I'm not a business.. I'm a resident like everyone else. I just don't understand. I signed a new commitment for 7.1 not 5 and I'm paying 7.1 speed but I am not receiving the 7.1 service  and my upgrade according to Verizon is completed. Shouldn't the 5Mbps be cheaper or same price as the 7.1 if I am not receiving the 7.1 service?

I am going to call the Billing and Sales Department later this morning and ask them why I ain't receiving 7.1 service. I also found out through my local news that the State of Maryland sued Verizon for providing poor service and not receiving service problems by customer complaints to the Public Service Commission. They reached a settlement and Verizon now have to compensate everyone who is receiving poor or not receiving internet service according to the service plan the customer have chose.

You think I have been tricked by Verizon on the 7.1Mbps is really 5Mbps scheme or is there really 7.1Mbps service out there?

  5. If your name doesn't show up in any of the chats,  click on Messenger like the file on I.E.  then select Preferences. After that in the Appearance section, you will see under Messenger List

    For each contact, show:

Nickname or First and Last Name

    Yahoo ID

Select Nickname or First and Last Name and that should fix the problem with your name showing in messages along with others names.

  6. I put this in a previous post but just want to know if these are good transceiver stats or bad transceiver stats

    Transceiver Statistics

    Transceiver Revision    A2pB020b3.d19d

    Vendor ID Code    4D54

    Line Mode    ADSL_G.dmt

    Data Path   INTERLEAVED

Transceiver Information  Down Stream Path//////Up Stream Path

    DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec)   5024////800

    Margin (dB)   5.9/////10.0

    Line Attenuation (dB)   48.0//////28.0

    Transmit Power (dBm)   19.6/////////11.9

My margin for download is normally around 14.5 dB for download and the line attenuation for download and upload was 52 and 18 respectively. The Transmit Power did not change. The sound quality on my phone surely have got louder compared to the old 2200 modem. I am about 1.3 miles or so from the CO.

  7. Now a part that I am worried about. When Verizon upgraded my speed a bit, some of my numbers went down and I'm wondering if my line can hold the new connection.

  8. I received the new Westell 7500 modem today after I just set up the upgrade yesterday. The person said I will receive the 7.1Mbps by Thursday but as early as tomorrow. After hooking up the new modem, I am well over the limit of 3360Kbps/832Kbps according to the old modem at its maxed speed.

This is my current speed after hooking up the new modem but the 7.1Mbps service have not started yet.

  9. So with mine after this Thursday, my speed will be about 880KB/s download  105KB/s upload. Right now, my average download speed is 365KB/s. My upload is what shocks me as I have been getting well over the 96KB/s (768Kbps) limit by Verizon. My upload is stable around 105KB/s (840Kbps) with the installation of the Verizon DSL Optimizer.

  10. It depends on the torrent though. Try downloading the latest Indiana Jones movie and let me know how high it goes. Download it from  torrents.to   no www in it  just torrents.to  type in Indiana Jones axxo  and select btjunkie in the drop down box. It be the first one with 30,999 seeders.  Let it download for about 5-10 minutes as it should reach max speed.

  11. A lot of people don't seed anymore and it takes longer. Where are you downloading torrents at 1.25MB? I've never seen it go that good! :tickedoff:

I was referring to you since you got the 10Mbps speed   which is 10000Kbps   the conversion is divided by 8 from Kbps to MB/s  which yours is 1250. Move the decimal over to the left 2 spots and you get just about your MB/s speed  maybe closer to 1.2MB/s. My friend got the 20Mbps package and he can get a little over 2.25MB/s

  12. Really? It should only take you about 5-7  hours to download 11GB since you download at around 1.25MB/s     5MB every 4 seconds and 65MB every minute  so thats 650 every 10 minutes  and 6.5GB every 2 hours 40 minutes but it depends on how good the file is seeding all that matters.

  13. After over a year since the release of the service,  I finally qualify for the Verizon 7.1Mbps service. I kinda had a feeling that it was going to happen because my internet was down for several hours last weekend. I will have the full service set up and running by Thursday when I receive the new modem which my Westell 2200 only supports 3Mbps speeds according to the rep. Anyways, I'm just thrilled to actually gonna be able to download with the big boys once again :haha:

  14. I have read through a timeline somewhere based on Verizon FIOS in the Baltimore Metro Area and here is the timeline

2006 - Southern Baltimore County, Northern Anne Arundel County, most of Southwestern Baltimore County (around Arbutus and Catonsville)

2007 - Southwest, Western and Northwest Baltimore (around Owings Mills)

2008 - Northern Baltimore County (Hunt Valley, Timonium)  This does not include the Hereford Zone most likely, Parts of Northeast Baltimore County (around the beltway area Perring Parkway and Belair Road)

2009 - Most of Northeastern Baltimore County (Rosedale, White Marsh)

2010 - Rest of Northeastern Baltimore County, Most of  Eastern Baltimore County ( Essex, Middle River)

2011 - Rest of Eastern Baltimore County, Most of Southeastern Baltimore County (Dundalk, Sparrows Point)

2012 - Rest of Southeastern Baltimore County.

So long story short, Verizon decided to build the FIOS infrastructure from Southern Baltimore County to Southeast Baltimore County to avoid the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

  15. Ok. You might find this strange or stupid or whatnot but  I happened to asked a Verizon rep through the live chat feature to give me the link to the DSL Optimizing Tool so I can download it and the person was like "I can not give you out the link unless I do screen-sharing with you" So after a tussle, I went ahead and told him, "Ok, do what you have to do by getting me the optimizing tool."  The tech then winded up doing everything else than doing what he supposed to. He went into all my personal stuff (mainly some porn collection from downloads) and deleted it when it had nothing to do with the Optimizing. I told the guy that I wanted the optimizing tool installed on my computer or just give me the link. So then, he went to the link and installed the Optimizing tool then he went ahead and uninstalled it  then he told me to restart my computer or I will have to do it for you. I told him that he installed it  then uninstalled it  and then said "I guess I have to restart your computer since you are not cooperating with me." He went ahead and override my computer and restarted it on his term and I was so upset. Then he tried going to the Verizon Speed Test and saw that it was not optimized and then I told him "If you don't know how to do your job, let me show you how you do it correctly!" and he insisted on telling me "Your computer does not support any high speed internet optimizing programs. Please buy a new computer that works!"  So I showed him how its done and just before I showed him how it is done, he disconnected from screen sharing knowing he was a dumb person who knows when you uninstall a program, it doesn't work. For him, it seemed like he didn't care if it worked or not cause I wasted 45 minutes of his time.. and I wanted to waste even more of his time just to prove him wrong in the right ways.

After I have done this, my speed tests on Verizon have went up over 800Kbps compared to only 560Kbps seconds before I applied the Optimizer.

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE TO VERIZON ONLINE DSL FORUM AS THAT IS NOT GETTING THAT MUCH ATTENTION AT ALL !

  16. I have a custom built that I did myself. I'm using the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ AM2  @ 2009MHz. I have been able to get it up to 2.6GHz with a VCORE of +0.05 and  multiplier of x4.  I currently have it at the 2009MHz at a multiplier of x5.

    I'm using the BIOSTAR GeForce 6100 AM2 Motherboard and have 2 x 1GB of Corsair DDR2 800 Memory

    Temperature was at 95
