  1. just now .. anyway, speed i guess will depend on your location ..also, the problem that myDestiny is having is with regards to the illegal cable tapping which according them will have a factor in the speed that you're getting .. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 1778 Kbps about 1.8 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 217 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/12/12 - 6:52pm Bottom Line:: 31X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 4.72 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 13.781 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 73.46 % faster than the average for host (247.220) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-IQ6HXTJL0 User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 [!]
  2. marikina .. the maintenance crew attached this thing called "attenuator" on my modem .. cable -->> attenuator -->> modem .. they said that it'll somehow improve the connection .. btw, there's a subscriber in Mandaluyong where his/her download speed is around 800+kB/s ..
  3. taken just this morning .. but take note not all subscribers of myDestiny gets this kind of speed .. this is a bit slower compared to the other day that i've checked my bandwidth .. also, their advertised speed is 512kbps (uncapped) . so you can get as high as 512kbps or lower than that (256kbps should be the lowest) .. Download Connection is:: 1448 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 177 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/12/11 - 4:57pm Bottom Line:: 25X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 5.79 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 16.922 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Looks Great : 17.92 % faster than the average for host (247.220) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-YX9T0JCBF User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 :::::::::::::::::.. 4. i was wondering what does this attached pictures mean? there's a difference in the Power Level of my modem .. the first picture is the one with the attenuator attached to it .. and the second one is without the attenuator .. can i just remove the attenuator? or should i just plug it in my modem? .. the first time i subscribed with my ISP (myDestiny), there was no attenuator attached to it .. connection was ok .. but after a few months, though the download speed was great, my upload speed was suffering .. it ranges from 5-20kB/s .. so the maintenance crew who came to your house has no idea why my upload was like that so instead he attached an attenuator device on my modem .. there's was an improvement in the upload speed (increased by 5-10kB/s) but still after some time, my upload is still darn slow ..
  5. hi! it's me again .. my download speed has been increased .. the max download speed that i can get is 305kB/s .. my question is since i formatted my PC, will i use the same setting as mentioned above? my only problem now is my upload speed .. will there be an improvement if i apply the settings mentioned above? === :::.. 9. thanks .. i'll try that .. i'll post an update on what happens .. if you don't mind me asking, what does RWIN mean? what does it do ?
  10. i've heard my good things about this board and how it helped many Net-izens improve their conenction speed.. maybe you could help me with my dilemma when it comes to my connection .. Windows 9x might also need the MS Vtcp386 fix. For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS. Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS: 513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4) 128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2) 64240 (MSS x 44) bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test): Your TCP Window limits you to: 2621.4 kbps (327.675 KBytes/s) @ 200ms Your TCP Window limits you to: 1048.56 kbps (131.07 KBytes/s) @ 500ms MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON Time to live left = 118 hops TTL value is ok. Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0) .. what configurations or settings should i use? btw, i've also called my ISP's hotline and they said that there's no problem with my connection ..
