Just did the TCP Opt.

Uploads just plain suck.  And is my biggest complaint.

Don't think I've had an upload better than 8kb.  I gave up trying to upload pictures.

I sure wish I had other internet options.

After I followed all those steps and did "DW6000 MTU 1500_commerical account.ccs, my entire computer slowed WAY down (not just internet). Acting like it was locking up, but if I waited long enough would work, just slow.  I had to do a system restore today to get my computer back

Ok...did that.

What I mean is when I open 'version 7', open MTU, all options state DW6000.

When I go there..all options state DW6000.  I still have the DW4000. ?????  Did I do something wrong?

I've thought about upgrading, but dont want to lock into another year with Direcway. I just keep praying Cable or DSL will come to my rural area. Doubtful it will ever happen though so stuck with Direcway. I've had them for years and never once have I been happy.

I did all those things before I posted except:

Install Outpost or Sygate as I have McAffee firewall.

Also, the cablenut....didnt do that one as it had so many choices on the dowloads..and I wasnt sure if it was for Direcway.

I posted this in the wrong forum I believe.

I've always felt like my Direcway was way too slow but customer service never has helped. I have DW4000, XP, NOT wireless.
