no onbard lan are fine unless your particular ilan is deffective. Like dlewis said make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Onboard video is not that bad unless you are a gamer -

Actually Daemon tools allows you to have "virtual Drives". Up to 4 i think. Basically you mount a iso image to one of the virtulal drives and then double click the drive icon. THe virtual drives appear as if they were a reguular drive

You know how many new-product pitches we get every year? Thousands, each declaring that the item is the best in its category. Though many of the companies making these claims are clearly delusional, some creations do stand as superbly designed top performers in their field--and you'll find all of them right here in our roster of the 100 best products of the year. We rated each candidate on its design, performance, and specifications. We generally did not consider price in our evaluations; instead, we looked for products that represent the cream of the crop. But in compiling our list, some products were such great bargains that we couldn't ignore them. Of course, ranking laptops and Linux distributions in one place is tricky, but we used the same scoring system for each candidate and assessed them as consistently as we could. This year we have also assigned each candidate an "impact" score, to recognize significant products that changed the technology landscape. And last, we ranked every World Class award winner by its final score, creating our list of the year's top 100 products. Full Article http://pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,125706,00.asp

I have three computers and the main computer is hooked up to a Westell Versalink 327w,modem and router in one, 2nd computer is hooked up wirelessly with a westell 802.11g wireless adapter and the 3rd computer is hooked up wirelessly with a d-link 802.11g wirless adapter. Not the most professional network set up but it gets the job done.

I did here somewhere that they were gonna come up with agp16x but why bother when u can get pci-e. Most pre built computers now are coming standard with a pci-e slot. My brother bought a 300$ pre built pc a few months and it even had a pci-e slot and 4 mem slots.

Yeah it does sound like a problem with the modem, if i were you i would invest in a new modem. BTW 200 connection is a lot of connections for one modem, maybe you should reduce that number a litle
