Trust me, ray, once you try FF 1.5, you wont go back to IE.

  2. I have the Verizon Fios 5/2 plan and pay $29.99 a month (will go up to $34.99) after 12 months.

  3. We decided to put this Microsoft-provided information up undigested. Thus, enclosed is a Microsoft-made comparitive analysis. We have not altered, added, or tinkered with the data. We have not interpreted the specs. We have cut and pasted this information from the email into our site and formatted it. Make of it what you will, but be clear we know Microsoft has clearly slanted this info, and we're not endorsing it, just printing their version. There is a difference.

    who made the comparison again?

Xbox 360 has 278.4 GB/s of memory system bandwidth. The PS3 has less than one-fifth of Xbox 360's (48 GB/s) of total memory system bandwidth.
IT doesnt matter if my grandmother wrote that, it's a fact based on the specs of both systems.

    And IGN CONCLUDED:

    CONCLUSION

When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has probably more performance than PS3. Keep in mind that Sony has a track record of over promising and under delivering on technical performance.  Xbox 360 games

  4.:evil::angry5::!:  FF will eventually overtake IE in terms of users, it may take a while since MS has a stranglehold on PCs, but itll happen.  I mean look what IE 7 is offering as new features, tabbed browsing, which FF has had for what, millenia now?  Give me a break, they have to copy the good features from Mozilla and then sell them as 'new' features on their craptastic browser.  Way to go, MS.
  5. so if the problems are due to the comps, ff is less compatible than ie? so why should i go out of my way to cobble together a third party browser for my system if it comes with one that works fine already installed?

Not everyone uses a Windows based PC.

  6. Cant buy whats not for sale. Looks to me like some of your insults should be aimed inwards.

I hope you read the last sentence of this article. Thats Microsofts annalysis. I think that might lead to a slightly skewed point of view. I will get both systems but to me the PS3's demos look amazing and they havent even released the final hardware to software developers yet.

Well the hardware was given to IGN by both MS and Sony and IGN did the comparisons, not MS.  And the numbers (like total system memory etc.) don't lie.

  7. Im going with the 360 as of now, but after seeing some of the PS3 demos it looks good too.  There's no way I'm gonna buy both, so it's gonna be a tough choice.  I have an xbox and its been great, to say the least.  Ive played PS2 a lot, but the graphics and speed are nowhere near the xbox's.  I think the 360 will probably be more easy to use and will clearly be the leader when it comes to online play (like it is now).  Plus it will be very easy to add the 360 to your home network if your running XP or Mediacenter 2005.  But again, it will be a tough choice between the two.

    **Update**

I just found this article from IGN that did a spec by spec comparison of the PS3 and X360.  It may cause those of you leaning towards the PS3 to think twice :D  http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/617/617951p1.html

So obviously there's nothing wrong with my wireless card, which I feared there was.  But then again, it still doesnt explain why my wireless desktop is getting pretty close to my Fios speed while upstairs on this laptop I only get between 100-400 kbps.  ??

  9. Firefox wants to be like IE now' cause firefox can't handle being Firefox without IE

So now they will finally have fun with Firefox since they depend on IE Hmnnnn!!! Funny' :D:haha::lol::evil6::violent1:

    logotrans.gif

Firefox doesnt want to be IE, it just wants to make the crappy IE-only sites THINK its IE.  I think of it as outsmarting the competition, you know, smart like a fox?
