When you are in connections:

click LAN Settings than

click use a proxy searver for LAN

then click advanced made sure that you have the 127.0.0.1 and port 83 in the aproperate boxes then click ok. to go out don't click the box that says use the same proxy server for all protocols.

Before you click ok on the next page make sure that the box is checked in the Bypass proxy sever for local addresses. then click ok then apply then ok this is the way I have mine.

Why does the 5Mb test look good and the 2992 test don't look good in comparison.

Why does the download speed show faster for the amount that is downloaded?

It should be slower for the amount.

I've got a network hooked up with my 4000 also.  It runs alright but not like I was hoping.  The Dway support told me NOT to use the LCCU tool!  So does it work with the 4000 models or not?  Cuz I don't know why they told me not to use it =/

I belong to DirecWay uncensored and they said to install it . I used the on that they had. As you see in my sig. at the bottom that I have 5 comp.on my network.

I dont know much about the dw4000 but can you reset that moded like you can the 7000?? if so try to reset it tech told me to reset mine he said its just like you computer you live it up for so long it get slow just liek the moded 

The 4000 doesn't have a reset button.

We have to unplug the modem wait 30 sec. then plug it back in.

I cleaned my computer and ran a on-line spyware and a virus detector. So I know that I am clean.

I also redid the web setup.

Also I redid my SatSpeed settings.

I did every thing that they would have told me. Been on Sat. for 5 yrs now. I think I know some tricks first be for I call them. But you probably will guess that they would try to get me to do every thing again.

They will probably will try to get me to go to their web site to run a speed test to try to verify. We will see tomarrow.

I'll keep you all updayed on the status.

But you know one thing is they didn't say anything about my Sat., SatMex. thats weird

They're probably trying to get you guys to switch to the 7000's. I would consider making a law suit of some sort.

You still pay the same price, I don't see why they would care. There aren't that many users on the 4000 anymore, just let them be. You guys are suffering with your uploads anyway, you deserve more speed.

I said the same thing in another post somewhere. I think thats what they are trying to do.

M16: I am on SatMex 5 and I have been having problems also for 5 days now. Same problems  slow browser start up and D/L very slow. Maybe They are trying to get rid of some of their customers by making it unbearable. I've Had Satillite for 5 yrs now and I think they are trying to make me upgrade to the DWay 7000 sereies, I don't think so.

I have been having problems with my browser pages opening up slow and my D/L are very low like this one.

This is only happening In the morning starting around 5:55 am EST till I don't know when because I have to sleep. (work night shift)

Before that time it cruises. Why?

Bird Fan that is the fastest that I have ever seen also. I just wonder if the lower test levels are accurate or even if the higher test levels are accurate. The times that it says on the downloads and uploads don't coincide. It says that it should be faster but it isn't, (Like in seconds) more like minutes. It sure looks better than the lower level test numbers.

Where do you find these bigger test at?

I tried the 5MB and it is't bad eather.

I could get better download speeds but at a sacrifice to uploads.

I was at work (at Ford) and decided to test their speed to see what they have for speed. I don't know if this is good or not. But it is going through a lot of stuff for security and I really mean a lot to protect their systems.They have been attacked somany time already.
