  1. I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to post this.. but I'm going to give it a shot. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 6716 Kbps about 6.7 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 820 kB/s For some reason I can't get my download speed on any websites/torrents to even an eighth of that speed. I'm not exactly sure what's wrong. If anybody could post any help I'd greatly appreciate it.
  2. Yes, I've tried this before but didn't really see a difference in speeds.
  3. Sorry I haven't been on here in a few days. Yeah I use this computer regulary, I'm pretty sure we got the Bellsouth Ultra with 5mb connection or whatever, it downloads at about the same speed with a file from the internet as well. And to Tommie, I just reformatted my computer earlier today and ran the test again, got the same speed. If you need any more information I'll look into it and find exactly what we have.

  5. Just to shorten this up and hopefully get a quicker reply: I'm just lost about how to install my drivers right now, that's about all I need help with. Everybody else has answered my questions except to the drivers. I can't access the internet til my drivers are installed so I can't do autoupdate, and I've been in the driver manager and there are a few that have exclamation points but when I click update or uninstall and try to reinstall them, it can never find them off the disc. Thanks in advance and sorry for the double post.
  6. Thanks everybody for the help. To the person who asked how I partitioned, the 33gigs is the partition I'm currently on (yes still working it out lol) and I wanted to get rid of it completey, spyware, malware and all. The 3gigs is the new partition I made to install windows, I already have it installed and everything, but I seem to be having problems installing the drivers. I went to the driver list as you mentioned, and it says which drivers it finds but has no name for, but when it searches the CDs I have it never finds them. Any help?
  7. Alright thanks for that, one last thing and I know this is really stupid. But I can't seem to figure out how to reinstall my drivers, I have all the discs, and I uninstall the current ones but the disc doesn't bring up any drivers. Is there something specific I have to do?
  8. Alright, well for the most part I got it to work. I partitioned it onto a new space, but now I need help reallocating the 33GBs that are on the old partition.
  9. Sorry for the triple post, but, nobody can help? Trying to do this as quickly as possible.
  10. Well, I did it all but when it started to try and read the disc, it brought up an error that said "boot error press f1 to retry, f2 to go to setup" and when I push F1 it just says the same thing over again. Any help guys?
  11. Thanks a lot guys, I'm going to go give it a whirl and if I can't figure it out I'll jump on my other computer and get back to you.
  12. And this will fully erase everything on my computer rather than just putting it onto a different partition like every other method I've tried? I'm pretty decent with computers, but this is my first time reformating one. Oh, and if you know or could tell me how exactly I would change the boot order? I tried doing that the other day when my friend told me about it, and I just kept getting errors that told me to reboot. Sorry to be such a bother but I'm sick of my computer being like this.
  13. My computer's been acting up lately; and after about 10 virus and spyware scans with no results, I've just decided to reformat and be done with it. My only question is, how exactly would I go about this? I have my windows XP disc and everything, I just need to know how to wipe everything clean as if it just came from the factory. I have a basic Dell with XP installed, any help is greatly appreciated.

  18. So you're telling me that my speed can't go any faster, then what can the 300kb/s when I first got the service be explained by?
  19. Well when I first upgraded to the ultra, I was downloading at around 250 to even sometimes 300+. Then about a week later it just started to slow down. :::..
