no probs mate, you've helped me a lot IMO. At least you've made my upload speed increase more than the first time. Thanks again, hoping to solve problems soon...
BTW out of interest..if i get a much more hi-tech modem, will it increase my speed?. at the moment i'm using the modem tht came from my ISP and i think its made from em too! i'm guessing its crap..

i converted 256Kpbs to kB/s:
256 Kbps is 31.25 kB/s
but my upload speed is 11kB/s a bit worrying :S
-
i got it! it says my upload speed for 1Mb should be 256kbps:
download speed upload speed
Mb Broadband Internet Up to 1024Kbps Up to 256Kbps
-
hold on...i was sayin that my broadband speed is 1Mb, it doesnt say on the site wat upload speed you get.
-
yea i'm paying 17.99 for 1MB with ntl. My download speed is perfect but i'm not too sure if my upload speed is good, what upload speeds am i suppose to be getting with 1MB speed

i am from the UK and i hv no idea if i'm using cable or dsl. i never knew the difference between cable and dsl. I have an ethernet connecting from my modem to my PC and a fat cable that kinda looks like what you connect in TV's connecting to this slot on the wall. http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/cable-modem-ch.jpg
thats what my cable looks like. i'm guessing i'm on cable.
