  1. On Samsung's website the monitor comes with a 3 year warranty, so if something happens do you think I will be able to go back to Bestbuy and get a new one or will I have to ship it Samsung? Curious about this before I buy a warranty from Bestbuy that I dont need. I would assume that if I have dead pixels out of the box I have a few days to return it to Bestbuy.

  2. didnt even think of system restore ill try that the next time i go over there. not sure how they set up the dsl, i went over there and it was all plugged in. im assuming they plugged it in and then used the cd that came with the modem.

  3. a friend of mine recently got dsl, he used to have aol dialup. he said that he couldn't get it setup so i figured i would give it a try. im pretty sure the dsl is working fine, i went to 192.168.0.1 and everything with dsl looked good. i thought it may have been something with internet explorer so i downloaded ie7 but when it was done the file said it couldn't be opened and was not a windows file. i tried firefox and got the same thing. i then thought maybe a fresh install of windows, popped in the xp disc and rebooted the computer and then a screen came up saying the a cd drive and or floppy was not detected. but i went into bios and made sure both were enabled and on which they were and i know they worked because we used them while in windows. any ideas on what i should try?

  4. im pretty sure one of my neighbors just got the 1.5Mbps package, so if went to his house and say he is getting 1.3Mbps which is roughly 86% or average i could expect to get 2.6Mbps. would i be ok in making the assumption that what ever percentage of advertised his is getting, that i should be able to get the same percentage of my advertised?

  5. right now i have 6000/512 cable and it costs about $60 a month. on the internet it says that my house is finally available for sbc dsl and i am considering getting it because it is only about $18 a month. the package i was looking at stated download speeds of 1.5-3Mbps and upload of 384-512Kbps. i was wondering who has this package and if anybody is getting close to 3Mbps download and 512Kbps upload. i hear that the farther away you are from the central office the slower your dsl will be. not sure if that is true and if it is where can i go to find out how far away i am.
