  1. I have a static IP, I have a feeling they do it every night for static IPs.
  2. Seems it hasn't slacked any... :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 6884 Kbps about 6.9 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 840 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 2) Test Time:: 2007/02/17 - 6:46pm Bottom Line:: 120X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 1.22 sec Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 14.47 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 110.84 % faster than the average for host (bellsouth.net) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-MVSO2C84K User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!] Anyone know why it gets (connection reset by peer) at midnight every night...didn't have that with 3.0.
  3. Well, I couldn't rename my other topic so why not just start this one. Upgraded to extreme 6.0 and now have some good scores. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 6642 Kbps about 6.64 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 811 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 429 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 748 kB) Upload Speed is:: 52 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/02/02 - 10:10pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-YUQPFEMCB U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-TO2GAIMNQ User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!] Of course upload leaves more to be desired but its as good as it gets with ADSL.
  4. Thats alright, but now when the new stuff comes out in a year or 2, my jump won't be as dramatic, Maybe give a discount too.
  5. got my static IP aswell. I'm glad bellsouth actually reaches the advertised maxes.
  6. Well, here's the new speeds, need to tweak upload abit, anyone got a ftp site I can test with? :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 6267 Kbps about 6.27 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 765 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 426 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 748 kB) Upload Speed is:: 52 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/02/02 - 1:47pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-13NKXD9LC U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-VZSI23L1F User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!]
  7. I ordered this afternoon, haven't upgraded it at the terminal yet lol, I would think tomorrow morning.
  8. Well, I bit the bullet(nah just wanted to) and upgraded to extreme 6.0 and checked the static IP this time :/. What scores you get on 6.0, can ya get better than rated or is the cap pretty much standard. I'm d/ling allot videos so this will free me up a bit more.
  9. I can, but I'm waiting for the transition to AT&T is over. AT&T's 6 Mbit line is actually cheaper than Bellsouth's Extreme 3.0 so I'm gonna see how it works out.
  10. 11. Actually even better. Bellsouth always has an awesome connection . 3.24 Mbps aint bad for a 3.0 extreme DSL :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 3241 Kbps about 3.24 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 396 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 376 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 748 kB) Upload Speed is:: 46 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/01/30 - 7:36pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-FOUTSD5PZ U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-84VQRSN5T User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!]
  12. Well, I believe it was my computer because the other computer on my network d/led fine. I did a system restore back 20 days but it didn't work. I restored back to the original and it so happens now I'm fine. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 3066 Kbps about 3.1 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 374 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 2) Test Time:: 2007/01/30 - 5:44pm Bottom Line:: 53X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.74 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 7.993 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: 90% + Okay : running at 94.4 % of your hosts average (bellsouth.net) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-KIELGBP8F User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!] I'd say I'm happy again.
  13. I have talked about my speed issues and their dns problems on my line but when I run their test I always get the right speed(don't understand that). I'm not too worried about the dns problems as much. My line never ping timeouts ever(I use an IRC client and never get disconnected). I did use cablenut on my computer and I actually got 3.1 Mbps several times. But this last month my speed have dropped to 1.9-2.4 Mbps. Also, I'm going though a wireless router, but I'm LAN connected to it.
  14. dlewis23, heres the results I got: ::::::::::.. 15. I keep testing my speed everyso ofter and keep getting 1.9-2.4 Mbps but was getting 3.0 Mbps a month ago. I test with bellsouth's speed tester (speed.fastaccess.com) and keep getting 2.8-3.0. Its like bellsouth is altering their tester. I haven't had a 375Kbps d/l in a while now. Anyone else experiencing this? edit: now even slower :::..
