Now i dont use my printer that often anyway only for uni work and i can print it at uni.......

I dont use Raid

Now my sound card works in XP without installing the drivers for it if i go in device manager it just says USB audio... and works will this be the same in vista anyone know......

I can get graphics drivers........

Just basically wanna know if i shud urgrade and if its worth it

what it is, is basically i have a combo box with 3 choices in them, i also have 3 jpg's.

When i select an item in the combo box i want the corresponding picture to appear in a picture box.

Ok basically i wanna setup a home network with xp on every machine the way i wanna do is the way it is done in schools and work places with like a server and everyone logs onto there space and get there files no matter what pc there on

Ok i have an old mini hifi system in my room....

The connectors for the speakers at the back are like little clips that clip on the the speaker wire red and black.... with that in mind

I am buying some new speakers for my PC harman Kardon soundsticks 2....

I currently have some little black 2.1 logitech that i would to connect to my hifi but how would i do this bearing in mind them connections....

Any people no any better speakers?

Hi i am currently looking to buy a new Hi Fi for my room but to be honest i know abosolutly nothing about HiFi and whats good and whats not......

I am just wondering if anyone know whats i should be looking for and if anyone could point me to a particular model im looking at spending

so how would i compile the sourse into my system just incase i dont find the rpm files

Ok so basically by the title i have just installed linux Mandriva 2007...... wanted to give linux a try summert different than windows gettin bored with XP but me being didnt think everythin that would change and 1 thing i didnt think of is .exe files... Windows has exe files to easily install anythin but i have just tried getting the latest drives for my video card from nvidia and it came down as .run file so doulble as you do and came up with this window i cant remember but i click on it and it comes up with like a window with what looks like code in there....

I was just wondering how do you actually install apps on linux....

Such as Noob question but hey we gotta start somewhere......

i know a lot of people say get a laptop... but there a little to expensive and yea im a student so cheaper is best...... that and when i get into my lectures it wont be any different from a PDA cos i wont be able to type as fast as someone speaks..... thats and on the train to uni i cant really just get my laptop out its only a 20 min journey so by the time i got it out and set it up it will be time to pack it up again...... and when i get home i got this desktop machine......

PDA i could record my lectures...... or there is a PDA from O2 called O2 XDA EXEC which has a keyboard as well

Ok i start university in september... and i love technology i am thinking about buying a PDA there not that expensive but i was wondering can your create and edit documents or just view them...

What other advantages would i get from having one as a uni student.

Ok so i have an ipod which im using just fine

My mum has just bought one

The problem is that to put songs on her ipod through itunes i have to change the libary everytime otherwise it will update her ipod with my libary.

Anyway round this.

The only thing i can think is Quad Core... anyone no weather these will be a hit or not....

DDR2 is also taking off now with the lauch off AM2 from AMD im looking at Core Duo 2 though so will probs go for DDR2 memory anyway. The thing is i heard that even though its faster the latency is S**T is DDR2 worth going for until they sort it out

Hi people i am currently wanting to build a new computer system.....

Put very simply im a POOR student lol.....

What im going to do is buy bits for my new system across a period of time.

What im asking though is if there are any new technolgies coming out maybe in the next 4-6 month wat i mean is like about 2 month ago core duo 2 wasnt out what i dont want to happen is for me to finish building my system and week later core duo 3 comes out....... (only an example)

Hey does anyone have any idea if any of the IPOD docking stations/speakers will display the ipod screen on a tv...... i really want onebut i just dont see the point in them if u have to be right up close to the ipod if u wanna see the screen

Ok i live in Manchester, UK Sky Festival is on this weekend fri-sun........ Sony have a tent there where there demostrating thier products was talking to this guy about the PS3 and its cappibillities........

Gran Turismo 5 was a talkng point and he was telling me that the PSP will be able to connect to the PS3 (thought that already) but in such a way that in games the PSP can be used as a screen as well as your monitor......... basically he was talking about in Gran Turismo 5.. it will have the a capibillity to use the PSP as a windscreen mirror when playing the game thus meaning placing the PSP on top of your monitor hey presto windscreen mirror not only that but if for some reason u had 3 PSP then u can use one as windscreen mirror and two as side mirrors.....

He sounded like he knew what he was talking about

Well let me start by.. Im thinking of buying a projector and obviously the pull down part......

1. Whats are the pull downs called....

2. Can you just project it onto the wall instead of the pull down........

What i was really wondering is how far back away from the pull down would the projector have to be mounted..... to get a picture... basically i have seen a 66" pull down.... and was wondering would my room be bigger enough for the projector to use all 66" inches............

would i just attach the ethernet cable to the pc and to the media player...... then will it be like scrolling through my HDD's on the tv screen....... or will it scan for my media files then show em by album, artist......

I would prefer scrolling through my HDD's content because i have a HDD purely for my music only so i have it nicely organised.....

At the moment i currently have my computer in my room.... but my sister has moved out now and i am moving into her room because it is slightyly bigger but the layout of this room means to have a double bed, wardrobe and pc.... just wont fit......

Although i like having my pc in my room it just wont fit so its going to have to stay where it is..... the problem i have is that i love my music and i like listening to music when im getting ready or going to bed or when im waking up........ now obviously theres HIFI's but that means puttin all my music on to disc dont wanna do that...... I do have an ipod and have thought about the docking stations for ipod's but i dont like the idea of searching throught my ipod for the perfect song......

What i have thought of tho is

1.  Maybe a cheap laptop but even a cheap laptop is still quite pricey...... and they normally dont come with good sound cards....... 

2.  Having my TV in my new room somehow display the same picture as the computer and having a bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard..... but then with that how would i select to use the speakers in my room instead of the speakers in the computer room......

What do you guys think........ is there any other ways round this........

I must say tho i am only really looking for A LYRIC  for example one or two lines MOST i dont want a big wall full of lyrics just maybe a line or two, to make the room more of place to be instead of just boring chocolate and sand(cream)
