  1. I have not yet had a chance to call tech support, but while looking throught the Cox website I noticed that the modem I have now, and have had for over three years, is no longer on their list of supported modems. Is there a chance that the modem is the bottle neck?
  2. Its a direct connection. Also, the machine has hitman pro run every other day to keep it free of spyware and viruses.
  3. I have posted specifics below. I'm hoping someone could give me a clear direction to go in. All test were run without a firewall and connected directly to the modem. I have edited the registry and read the stickies. Used CableNut w/ VanBuren's settings, Dr.TCP, and TCP optimizer. I noticed that the signal to noise ratio is incredibly high, I can only assume that there should be a decimal? 34.7 dB instead of 347?? Results from cable modem stats: Downstream Value
