  1. not to mention FIOS, nothing like being compared to a 35mbps connection. stupid verizon.
  2. You are provisioned at 1.5 and you get 1.49 ? I think you are picking at straws here man. I am provisioned at 3.0 and get about 2.8 2.7 most times DSL degrades over distance, so they can't garuntee rates.. Yours is prefect for your provisioning tho.

Problem: Verizon renews DNS every 15 minutes, which the crappy westell modem they gave me couldn't handle, would time out, and I'd lose connection, Solution: I installed a Linksys router and I have it handle the DNS, no problems since. Problem: Verizon's DNS servers Died constantly. Solution: I switched to using OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.org) and no DNS problems since. I am not saying these aren't the only solutions but they sure helped. Just thought I would share.
