What does that mean? Server distance??

Thanks for the tip. I ran the largest speed test 2992 and I got the same varying results. First time 1200kbps then 635, 750, 800, and then 1500kbps. Is this typical? Is there something wrong with my Adelphia service? Modem? Wiring? Adelphia said I am getting good signal strenght to the modem. thanks

I can't a straight answer on this. I think this is the site that can help me. I get a wide range of speed readings when I test. I go from a high of 3300kbps down to 300kbps. I run the test 5 times in a row and its all over the place. I tried about 5 other speed test sites and I get the same results. What is going on? When I test on adelphias speed test i get a consistent 4400 to 4700kbps. What is going on? Upload speed is always consistent at 425kbps. Your feedback please.
