  1. starting today 4/16/08 those of us in the U.S.A. will be having our cell phone numbers released to telemarketing companies. you will begin to recieves sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS by your phone provider. i urge you to call the National DO NOT CALL LIST from your cell phone 888-382-1222 it only takes a minute and will block your phone from recieving telemarketing calls for 5 years. YOU MUST CALL FROM THE PHONE/PHONES YOU WANT BLOCKED. while you are at it call from your home phone also. help others and pass this message on to all your friends it only takes about 20 seconds for the call

  3. it could be you got dropped down to the lowest tier because of cancelling TV service. 6 meg tier is only available if you have cable tv AND internet subscription. just my guess but that;s how Comcast is in my area (Pa). in the process of dropping you down they probably hit the spite button

  6. i can not seem to access any mirror test sites. i get an error message "could not select database" any ideas?
  7. yes that test worked with my firewall and AV enabled. i am using IE7 but had run tests in the past with this browser and they worked. the firewall and AV are Mcafee which i get for free with my comcast ISP
  8. this past wk when trying to run spd tests the first 2 screens fly by the i go to a blank page where it looks like my results are trying to connect but it never does. it happens on server 1&2 but if i use one of the test mirrors the testing works fine. can anyone help? i never had this problem in the past and the only thing i've changed is an upgrade to mcafee 2007 thru my isp, comcast.net. any help would be appreciated
  9. yes they work fine adjusting your screen to the type of lighting in the room and the the way you use your monitor ie: gaming,internet , picture processing and so on. funny my 204b came with dvi and rgb cables have them ck another box
  10. the samsung is the best choice. that response time and contrast ratio are great i just bought the samsung 204b because i wanted a 20" monitor. i already had a 19", but if i was going for a 19" THE SAMSUNG YOU PICKED IS HARD TO BEAT. (sorry for the caps)

  14. im located in phila, pa usa being a noob im not too comp. literate to change the settings in tcp optimizer. also i don't know if my isp, comcast.net is a pppoe network
