  2. I run Japanese IME so that can't be the case. I ran Spybot, Spyware Doctor, and Ad-Awareand everything is clean. I also ran Norton and AVG... nothing there. so I don't think it can be the computer, and I think the file being used is a result of Japanese IME. wow. this is annoying.
  3. yes. I am using a router, but even when I plug one of my computers directly into the cable modem -- it is the exact same. it's just so weird how my download speed is great but my upload speed is basically nothing. I didn't know that comcast would cap. why would they cap me? I am not a big uploader or anything at all. I don't play any sort of online games or upload any very big files.
  4. http://www.ezarchive.com have fun
  5. see... nothing weird running: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51/mikevm27/process.jpg
  6. I'm positive. I have run every spyware test and virus scanner known and on task manager, there is not one suspicious thing running. there is really nothing else running besides Internet Explorer. I've tested the upload speed on other things too, such as an FTP server that I used to get uload speeds around 70kbps... but now it just goes at speeds under 1kbps before timing out. I even installed a new 3-way splitter but it's just the same results.
  7. I just have one other thread, but yeah. this is just really making me angry at Comcast. I don't understand how someone can have NO upload speed. this is ridiculous.

  12. now my upload speed is virtually NOTHING. my download speed is fine, but I have no upload. this is horrible... I am calling Comcast tomorrow, even though I doubt they'll help. I'm also going to buy a new splitter. ridiculous.
  13. this happens on and off. right now, the speed is fine. I just waited it out overnight. I am going to move my two guitar amps away the router and cable modem though. it was basically on top of it.
  14. and no. I have never tweaked anything or cablenut adjusted.
