try here:
http://users.cybercity.dk/~bse26236/batutil/help/MSCDEX_S.HTM
in addition to MSCDEX you will also need a CD-ROM driver such as oak.
another sie, this one has actual autoexec.bat and config.sys files.
it also has links to oak drivers.

there seems to be a problem with the verizon database.
when i test my download speed the test runs and displays my results but the average for verizon is zero.
no matter what my speed is it will always be 100% of my hosts average (verizon).
also my stats aren't being saved.
here is what is displayed after the test runs:
Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /home/testmyn/public_html/tools/test/results.php on line 430
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/testmyn/public_html/tools/test/results.php on line 431
Warning: Division by zero in /home/testmyn/public_html/tools/test/results.php on line 473
when i check the host stats and select verizon.net the following is displayed:
Your host is verizon.net

are you sure its just not down for a little bit? have you called up verizon?
could be the problem. shortly after i configured my account i had a friend to email me and i replied to it so that proves the client could send and receive.

my very first post
i recently upgraded from dailup to seidata's wireless internet connection.
it is transmitted by wireless to my house and converted to ethernet inside my house
from there it goes to a linksys befsr41 switch router
from the router it goes to a ethernet to usb converter then to my computer
my problem is that i consistently get below average connection speeds
it ranges between 75% to 85% of seidata's average
i purchased a ethernet card and installed it, then plugged the router output to the ethernet card with no increase in speed
any suggestions how i can at least get up to seidatas average?
edit
i installed cablenut 4.0.8
and ran the following css file

i've had verizon DSL for awhile. i have not had any problems with my connection except when the phone lines were torn down by a tree.
the only real problem, if you want to call it that, is i live about a mile from the telephone exchange. i pay for a 3mbps connection. my download speed is anywhere from 1mbps to 2.8mbps. it averages about 2.5mbps.
and then there is tech support. i must admit that verizon tech support is, well, different than most.
all in all, i would recommend verizon DSL.
