Mexican trucks to be able to travel freely throughout USA soon
granpa replied to tommie gorman's topic in General Discussion
http://www.azdailysun.com/articles/2007/02/24/ap-state-az/d8nfv4dg1.txt The speed of the US Government to produce 540 new inspectors, 12 years, amazing. -
493 Kbps Testing with satellite you need to the the 2992kB size test. There is a latency in the beginning so the smaller tests will usually be a lower speed. The Hughes test is always slower than TMN. Last Revalidate Isolation... 0 This is 0 because you have rebooted the modem. I never shut mine down unless I'm to be from home a couple of days or more and updates may be missed. It may take a day or two, possibly more to get a number here. Remember rebooting resets this to 0. Signal strength is 59 This is a little low unless your experiencing bad weather. Mine at this moment is 76. Only in very heavy rain or heavy snow will it drop in the 50's. Just from this I would say your dish needs tweaking if the sky is clear. Its a good idea to keep tabs on your signal every day and more so if weather is bad when your trying to diagnose a problem.

The ACP is found in the advanced section http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html . It can be found in the transmitter or installation sections. You would use this only to see how your system is functioning, unless you understand what to do with it for tweaking the system, so using the "ACP Mode" could cause your system to become disabled. The system seems to self test itself at intervals and thats what I keep track of. If you can find this (ACP) post it along with your signal and possibly a speed test near that time. Ever time you shut your modem down you will lose the ACP number until it self tests again.

If there was anyway I could squeeze myself into my PC I think I would send myself to Phoenix right now. We just had a 2 day break from around 10 degrees for the past month but that came with 10 inches of snow and 3 1/2 hours of snow blowing.

keetan, A welcome form here also. I wouldn't mind just having near that speed but I've been forced to use Hughes and have for almost 8 years, 2-way almost 6. Have fun helping

I'm in the same canoe as you with Mac. Have you checked in a Mac forum for answers. I used Mac when taking an Adobe course, but thats it.

You may need to go into the control panel>internet options>connections tab and fix something for your browsers to work, but I'm not sure and not sure what to change since I can't see the response from a browser. Maybe he problem is your browser is corrupted12

You forgot to add one of these along with your promise If your getting a .98 dish I think you shouldn't have hardly any problems at all with your connection. If the installer is decent (the key is the larger the dish the tighter the signal and harder to zero in) he should more than likely get you in the mid to high 80's for your signal and the touchy part is getting the ACP as high as the signal or more if possible. Good luck.

You name it, blindfolded no problem if it's make that much noise.

I guess it is but would email the files work?

As far as I know there is no age limit. My wife works at a casino and she also agrees there is no limit. [move]Only an age you can start gambling. "Starting Age"[/move]

The only way I know to move information is under "File" the"Import Export" function. I think you can copy and transfer the files to another PC, at least I did with my address book and some emails.

maybe thats why my wife get annoyed with me, I randomly ' fall asleep '

So what was the cure, or what did you insert to get by this problem???

Glad to see you made it back Roco, or did you.

Your ISP connection is sent to the card alone and not the router. The best signal here means the most for your speed. The card plugs into the router and distributes the data to your network (each PC involved). Now if a PC is connecting through the wireless part of the router than a better antenna here shouldn't be needed unless your having problems connecting to the router or the same but because of a distance between router and PC. If your card is not equipped with an external jack your probably out of luck in improving internet speed unless you change for a card that has one. Remember the best signal here means the most speed out of your connection.

My Smart Bro (Wi-fi) internet connection speed
granpa replied to overboost's topic in Smart Bro (Wi-fi)
Yes, a sticky would be good if it had the questions and answers all together. I have been on other forums where there are sections like Freq Asked Questions and Tips & Tweaks and so on. If some one did a post like that it could be put under one title, but don't ask me to do it, I'm semi-retired and don't have as much time.......left. -
who ties them for you Do you have banana feet :2funny:

Couple of questions here, what's the distance that your from the tower and your 2.4 neighbor? I remember reading a little on this that a 900 MHz radio could have better results in a cluttered path. With your fluctuations and trees in the way have noticed if the drops are when its windy or changes when leaves are out. There are ways to correct these physical problems but they can't be done on the phone with xplornet. Need to know more about your radio, antenna, position in the house, etc. Example just moving with a cell phone brings in better signal and in this case a better signal gives more speed. What speeds is your neighbor getting? Does xplornet have web mail? Is your Outlook Express setup correctly? Maybe some of us can help you to sort out these problems if you help with the research here. As I and many have found your ISP will only do so much to help you on your end and that is only what they can get their hands on over the phone. So I made it a point to understand my end, how it works and how to improve it. Granted you can't control traffic and slow downs from it but I know my end is good and when traffic is down I get more than my plan.

Taking notes there tommie Who's "all of you", never saw him post in this section.

Would that be as tight as a Duck's ..ah...hmm.. ...Duck's something or nuther . Anyway MAC's are tight huh, must have some pretty good cases then, impenetrable huh.

Did it work for you?

ACP can be found here http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html . By changing the modem made a change in your system. Was there a transponder change? I would say that high with the 6000 meant it was right on the money, next to perfect. I jumped a few points going from a 4000 to a DW7000 but got to 83 RSL X 83 ACP with some dish tweaking. Took me over an hour to do so. You can have a good signal but a poor ACP which would cause some problems. Let's continue, check that link, there are many things to learn here. I forgot to ask, did you get a new power supply? That can cause problems that can't be explained, using an old supply.

I wouldn't worry about that, my wife still has to look at her hands if you tell her to turn right or left, luckily the grandkids will point for her. Now I know why she picks them up so much.
