no, I am talking about doing a google for speed optimizer, I will have to look for a link for ya.

I am running Vista 64, XP pro, XP64.  Had 1 flakey router, but they sent me a replacement for it, have you tried one of the optimizers for your connection?  I did, but @ my speed, never really noticed much.

Use a router, connect the OUTPUT of the smartbro to the WAN port on the router.  Can help ya more if I knew wireless router or not. 

Since mid 80's, Prodigy, I even got my old aol 1.0 floppy sitting in a box somewhere.  Thank god speed has improved a bit since then, lol.

Um, I thought that Alienware was OWNED by Dell?  It was supposed to improve their supply chain management.

Haven't had very much trouble w/ my FIOS 50/20 plan.  Have been able to be back up and running usually within 20-25 minutes.

Running fine on this machine, no problems.

So true, I was surprised the tech returned my call @ all.  My upload is supposed to be in the 20 mb range, but so far only getting about 16300, not sure if I can get around the overhead on the connection though.  Might try cycling the modem, lol.  They said they MAY send me a new one though, we'll see next week.

Kinda slower than what I ordered, guess I'll have to see if it improves a bit.

So what am I doing wrong?  Supposed to be 15 mb Up and Down on Fios.  Different site, different results, shows a LOT faster UPLOAD, like 14501
