College rules cause you actually get 3 months of summer  . Been done for 3 weeks now!

Connecticut... The school system is so puritanic. We start at 7:30 in the morning... which is like, when the sun comes up in the wintertime, lol,  The state has a mandatory school year of 180 days, but my town has something like 186, because they pretend kids learn more with more school days. I'm definitely looking forward to a better class schedule, too.

I'm actually staying home today... hahah, taking a break. It doesn't really matter anymore it seems, since I got into college so long ago and I'm fine as long as I don't fail.

Eh, I would not believe that Bush knew about the Enron deal. Donations like these from very rich people and corporations happen all of the time and are essential for the costly political campaigns of todya.

Some of the top executives of Enron (not those prosecuted) did not know about the scandal. The pity is not that money was given to Enron, as that's not all that unusual, but that there were corrupt people who would ruin the lives of others, including everyone in their company and their investors, for their own greed and gain.

That Bush was involved is a nice story for the increasing amount of Bush-haters out there.

June 20th will be my last day in high school.... then it's off to [bob's College of Knowledge] on August 21st.

For me, it's not a question of whether or not life exists, it is a question of time.

The time life has existed on Earth, human life especially, is so incredibly short compared to the time the universe is predicted to have existed. The conditions for life are very rare in the universe and while I am sure Earth is not the only setup to have these conditions, our window of time is so incredibly limited that our chances of (especially intelligent life) coexisting near each other are basically none.

In addition, when we are dealing with lightyears, we are not just dealing with distances. What we see happened however many years ago, and is just coming to our eye. Even if we did detect the possibility of life thousands of light years away, it's possible that those life forms have already become extinct at the point that we are observing them.
