  1. For games, You need both. Upload to send your data about position, item usage, etc etc etc to the server. Download to receive all relevant information about the environment around you. Other player movements, etc. You would need a lot more download realistically.
  2. Yes, there is usually come Overhead to their products. Such as my xtreme 6.0 package. I get about 6.4Mbps on the speed tests. When I had xtreme 3.0 package, I got about 3.4Mbps on the speed tests.
  3. TCP Optimizer, with a few extra tweaks by me.
  4. I did the FTP upload. I get about 52.5 KB/s average. Which is roughly 420.
  5. What tweaks have you used? 6. Thanks, but the upload is kinda slow isn't it ? For 512k Up?
  7. Here is my 6.0 speed test. I've tested 3 times today, all have showed ~6.4 Mbps. Upload is a bit wimpy though.
  8. Yeah, I wanna try and push my UPLOAD higher. What do you think? My download seems to be just rockin, just upload is kinda wimpy.

  10. I've done some tweaking. I have RWIN value set to 63888, which for bellsouth gives the best results. Other then that, I've used TCP optimizer, but I'm not sure which setting to use. I'm synced at 8.0, but the connection is 'shaped' to 6.0mb.
  11. Yeah they will do that. Most likely you might have to call back and talk to a different tech, or your just SOL. I know for sure I'm serviced by a remote terminal: Nearest CO : 21188 feet FTLDFLJA BTW: I upgraded to 6.0 XTREME. http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/db_search.php?type=comp_id&q=617639302812&limit=100 And well, lets just say my stats are terrible, and wonderfull at the same time. The best speed test I did was around 7.0mbps (I did it twice, and got it twice), but then my speeds started to fluctuate. My speeds are at 2.2mbps!! Just click the link and you'll see! I dunno WTF is up. =( I called bellsouth, they said my lines fine.
  12. I'd kill for service that great =( One of my CS Source Clan mates has it, his ping is never over 30 (from NJ to a Miami Server)...and on NJ servers his ping is like between 6-9..never 2 digits.
