It's on Firmware Version 6.00.10, their update is to an older version 6.00.03. Guess, that I'm stuck. -
Question about the Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router
DiRt DeViL replied to DiRt DeViL's topic in Networking and Hardware
If I change the NIC speed to 100 it would not work, it only seems to work on auto or 10; weird but that's the truth. The router doesn't have the option to set port speeds, I may just get a better one. -

So you're telling me that I should put everything at 10? When it goes the 10 on its own I usually have to reset it because things stop working right. -
Attention all Onelink PR Customers
DiRt DeViL replied to silverdarkpr's topic in OneLink Communications Puerto Rico
I was a prtc dsl customer, the lag, latency and crappy customer service was the reason for changing to cable. In my area, we didn't experienced many dsl outages but when we did it will take weeks to repair and calling the help desk to inquire was a waste of time. You'll get "they're working on it" excuse and no additional information, the good thing is that they gave a credit for the downtime. Since moving to cable I've 3m for downloads (tested here), excellent for on line gaming and downloading torrents. I also have to say that they do have problems but their customer service and technicians are a lot better and faster than prtc ever was. -
When I switched from dsl to cable y purchased this router in order to connect my 3 desktops via ethernet and the laptop via wireless. Really soon noticed that all the cabled connection indicators turned orange (10mbps) instead of the usual green (100mbps). This changes when the router is rebooted and everything works at a 100mbps but suddenly changes back to 10. I emailed Belkin support and their response was to force the NIC speed to 10 in order to avoid this problem, what's the idea of having 10/100 ports and you can't use the max speed? Has anyone here seen or heard about this?

Tommie, you're right he did us a favor indeed; that community was dying anyway. I didn't wanted to fuel the fire but did wanted to make sure that people who reads this thread know what really happened. Thanks for the welcome and hope to be able to participate actively here.

Mr. DSLXtremo As stated before YOU are the person responsible for the death of the DSLXtremo community. Yes, I was one of the banned ones and I still wonder why. I received a message from you telling me to remove a link that I had to another forum (which you claim to be competing forum), I just replied asking why and proceeded to modify my signature. The next time I tried to log in I found myself banned, I wonder to how many people you did the same thing. I had also seen posts in which you engage personal accusation, discrimination, etc and now you post here defending yourself and blaming banned users for the death of your forum, that's BS and a lame excuse my friend. Good to see that you finally accepted that the forums were closed by you and not because the database was corrupted or any of your lame excuses trying to cover up. Lucky for me I was able to unsubscribe from DMAX and now I'm a happy customer with another provider which has better speeds at about the same price and does not have the POS help desk that PRTC has.
