  1. WOW got everything situated as for now any how my speeds are up to 600 700 downloading files now that I upgraded to Proplus 1500 and they have stayed that consistant all day from 1pm to 430pm longest ever so far so great relief. A higher Fap number not sure what it mean yet. But I need to be careful I suppose not exceed some guideline ProPlus HN7000s 400 Download Threshold 56 Recovery Rate
  2. That's what I thought I have had DSL and the router blinked when active, well thats not what I wanted to hear but I guess the tech was trying to get out of this one quickly. He started to but never actually told me which satelite I said which one? whats it's name? 3 or 4 times and he kept changing what he was saying I did get this written down, IA6 he did not confirm it, does it sound familiar? "I think its ..no lets see.. its no, no, no its.."(funny huh) this whole day was wasted on the phone and he really made me feel like this was a real problem that can be fixed to be pateint and put me on hold for at least 15 minutes a few times I am still getting download speed of 5 and my phone line would do 56k and my speed tests freeze up and goes to an error message, oh well, back to phone calling in the morning. I will keep you informed if they call or if i win the lottery same chances probably more likely to win the LOTTO.
  3. I spent 5 hours with 2 upgraded advanced problem shooters 1st India then US then one more US tech and I was told it needed the attention of the top level tech and all information would be forwarded to this tech and he would call me sometime within the next 3 to 5 business days, with a resolution to my troubles. The last tech I spoke with asked what lights were flashing on my router the Transmit, receiver I said both he said they aren't suppose to be especially not the transmit light can some of you check to see if yours are or not thanks hardly no speed at all all night and all today. I am upgraded to proplus with 1.5 speed and static IP and can not get past dial up download speed lots a laughs I hope they give me some sort of adjustment on billing.
  4. anyone have the dway non-India support phone number??? There is one And I need to call these guys. This is ridiculous I can not even test the last test said ouch what do you have dial-up and that is slow like I said when it slows it stays slow I power cycled checked the ground clean optimized and went to extreme lengths I should get better even if this was peak hours right? I mean 5 not even dial up. Thanks
  5. Thank you for all your suggestions and I will look at everything you mentioned and double check it. The installer was a new kid I really think a bit slow and clumsy so maybe I will check the ground in the morning, my signal strength is always around 70 we have a clear view of a brilliant Maine sky. Wheather isn't the trouble I hope the ground is the trouble because it will be nice to see it up there and my system is very clean. Thanks again[
  6. System info: Longitude: 93 West Receive Frequency: 1433 MHz I knew this but I see in some reading in and around that some folks know the actual name of there sat this coordinates would be different as to our specific location am I correct? ;Longitude: 93 West 1433 MHz satelite. e.g.:SatMex5, 1130 I am still getting around 5byte/s download and my pages won't load when I download tried different download managers MS, firefox, emule, and Mozilla. It sometimes starts fast real fast likes 210 then drops quickly to round 60 and then drops down all the way to 5 and stays there. I checked on another PC to make sure it wasn't my OS I still think the pages are sometimes faster then dial up but download speeds are in fact a bit below 56k and thats bad really slow indeed. I checked and made sure that I wasn't FAP'd. Why would I be cannot download above dial up speed
  7. I would love to download anything with speed that could come close to yours nice speed How can one find which sat one is using. is there not specific sat they are now using for the 7000 that has advantages in latency. I hope this will improve, I get a bit discouraged with dial up download speed for my downloads
  8. OK what is so funny should I should I not believe the settings you have are right or are you just kidding you two. I have real trouble with downloads this stinks for some odd reason download will reduce to 5kbyte/s last night I enjoyed 5 whole minutes of great download speed and then here and there after power cycling I may get it for 2 or 3 minutes then it returnees to dial up speed a bit less then 56k I must have you cached alright then I am downloading at 5 kbyte/s and tested lucky it even did cause no other page would load. :::.. 14. Thanks for the welcome the test is not working for me at all now it diplays a blank page after 12 to 20 minutes of waiting. I will try the toolsa I see here and read a bit more. Thank you
  15. I am new to Hughesnet and am having troubles trying to download some larger files I have the pro pac and am looking to get a pro + tomorrow so I can get a static IP it seems that port forwarding is my trouble and need to open a port to download faster I have speeds that last for a few minutes and then it slows up to under dial up speed. I hope this upgrade will do the trick 1.5 download and a static IP. If I sound a bit noob it is because I have been reading forums for 2 days now trying to figure this out and have come to this conclusion I wanted to see if my speed looked ok or is there something I am doing wrong?
