  3. i did read the fios fine print. i dont host anything and if i did i would go with the business plan. and you can pay month 2 month. you don't have to sign a contract....

    roadrunner here is just ripping us off and they know it. they have THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE i have ever experienced (besides sprint ofcourse)....

    i do understand markets are different... but it should be ABOUT the customer.

  4. after roadrunner fixed most of the issues here in Orlando, FL... speeds went up... and are holding

  5. Here is some good reading for you....

    "Thank you for contacting the Brighthouse Networks Customer Care Team in

    regards to your speed concerns. Based on the information that you have

    given us shows that the connection issues that you are having are not

    related to our network. If you look at the traceroutes your connection

    times only increase after you leave our network. I have provided a link

    below to show you that there are several internet backbone providers

    having problems. This will slow connections or anyone trying to contact

    servers in those regions. Your connection will increase once these

    providers have fixed the issues they are having.

    We thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you have anymore

    questions or concerns please feel free to contact us."

    parts of some of the things i sent them. all full traceroutes, and at least 50 pings to each bad hop... and they reply nothing is wrong. the best part is the "Thanks for bringing this to our Attention" part.. if nothing is wrong... what did i bring to your Attention? lol

  6. if firefox crashes. and you try to run it again and it asks you to make a new profile. its because its still running in system processes "Task Manager" or CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill the process. then you can open it fine.

    C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMozillaFirefox

    goto that directory... and open the file profiles.ini

    [General]

    StartWithLastProfile=1

    [Profile0]

    Name=default

    IsRelative=1

    Path=Profiles/eifjweijhw.default

    Default=1

    it should look like that, just make sure your Path is correct for the profile you want to use.

  7. Nice setup.. what kind of speeds do you get off that Pre-N ??

    I don't even use any of my wireless, I just have it for if people come over with laptops and sh*t.  I'm thinking about getting a laptop soon though.

    that wireless router is top of the line.. if you ask me.. i get 54mbit upto around 600ft away with perfect antenna strength. and Pre-N is around 100-108mbit normally. most of my equipment is G, only my bro has pre-n for his laptop. and we've tested it with testmy.net and get the same download speed... the router is awesome... but i still love my cisco more :)

    :)

  8. find out what your pcs ip is first off

    start > run > cmd

    ipconfig /all

    then for that router page. you want to input

    Name them whatever you want "Game 1" etc for the app name.

    put in the port number, select tcp

    enter the last 3 digits of your ip. and click enable..

    save or restart the router if you need to..

  9. Ports:

      1. 9528/tcp

      2. 9958/tcp

      3. 5816/tcp

    hopefully the firmware will fix this for you. i had an issue like the same once with EVE Online. Linksys kept dropping me, firmware fixed it. but now i'm on a Cisco Router, no drops crashes, restarts but $500 price tag :)

  10. make sure you have the latest firmware installed for the router:

    http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp?fwid=3

    also make rules to open the ports the game needs.

    also if you can get the ip of where the game connects. you could run a tracert, and a ping test. to see what average connection you get to it. and packetloss if any..

    if you post the name of the MMORPG, i should be able to get that info for you if you can't find it.
