I'm in Arlington Heights, IL and my speed is off over 50%. Yesterday is was running at at average of 5.5MB to 5.8MB, today I'm at 1.9MB to 2.2MB. Comcast SWEARS it's just fine by their ping, but we all need to stay on their butts, as this a service issueand not a tweak issue. Good luck!

I had a similar problem with Comcast and my modem and ethernet router. Comcast wasn't able to solve it, but when my speed goes to 700 kbs, I just power cycle the router and it's back to 5.7 to 6.0Mb. This is usually a weekly deal, but I've had a dozen techs out to the house and they cannot find the glitch.
