  1. Great stuff. I actually read the Visa prank and the Michael Jackson prank. Then I was no longer amused when I received this little knock on my door... (attaching file, hope the pic shows up)
  2. Well good, it's not just me. I did locate a reference to version 9, but also was unable to find the ccs file itself. Somebody throw us a bone? Thanks

  4. Those prices are insane! My cable started here 2/20/05 :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 3250 Kbps about 3.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB) Download Speed is:: 397 KB/s And in 1.5, years ended up here 07/07/06 :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 19698 Kbps about 19.7 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 2405 kB/s I didn't save many upload tests, but it went from ~380 to ~740. All without a change in price! (Well the good speed is powerboost, which varies usually between 16-19Mbps for me, and really only lasts for about the first 20mb, then throttles back to my rated 8mb.) Rarely dl anything that large anyways. Good luck, hope a better provider moves into your area...
  5. Remove them for sure. I did a sweep after installing IE7, didn't find anything. But IE6 does come with them, and I've removed them from many installations. Never noticed any change in the behavior of IE after removing Alexa.
  6. That's exactly right. All part of the negotiations ongoing since the bankruptcy of Adelphia. Comcast owned about a 25 percent share in Time Warner at the time of the Adelphia takeover, and used that to leverage some very profitable markets, trading some less profitable systems. St. Paul is a Comcast market, and they've been salivating over Minneapolis for quite a while. Thanks to this deal, Comcast now services the entire Twin Cities. Cheap to upgrade, yes...especially when the networks are so similar.
  7. Looks like the last guy made a slight improvement to your upstream, but all are within spec. Next thing I look into is noise/interference coming from poor fittings/bad splitters/cabling, or even off the mainline. Not exactly an easy thing to diagnose, but packet loss is a good indicator. Are you seeing any packet loss?
  8. h2 what is the make and model of your modem? If you navigate to 192.168.100.1, what are the following levels: Downstream receive power? Upstream transmit power? SNR?
