Well, it appears your account isn't actually an administrative account. 

When you right click the folder and go to properties, you don't have a security tab?

There is actually a very easy fix for this.

When you install the program, Windows sets permissions on the folder. Typically, they are set for "Everyone".

What you can do is right click the program's folder under Program Files, and go to properties. Then hit the "Security" tab and take out "Users" or "Everyone" (Could be both.)

After you do that, add YOUR account and give fill permissions. That way, you will be the only one to access that folder, and your sister won't be able to.

What you really should do is boot up in Safe Mode w/ Networking and run the tools tommi suggested.

If that doesn't work, you may have to manually edit your registry. I will get into that later after you do that. ^^

Nope. Not true at all. Just make sure that the motherboard supports the type of connection the hard-drive uses (Probably IDE).

Try doing some of the things they suggest on there.

Hmm.. Well, I suggest getting ahold of an external hard drive and backing up all your important files (songs, porn, docs, etc.) and format the drive.

If you have access to another hard drive, try plugging that one in and see if you get that same message using another hard drive. If you don't, it could be your old hard drive going out.

I don't think rolling back the OS will help you.
