Ive noticed in alot of yalls post, yall talk about the DW4000 having higher speeds then the DW6000. I always thought this hole time the higher they went in numbers (like going from 4000-6000) That the speed was faster that way. What made the DW4000 unlocked? Or was it made before it got so many customers? Thanks Jen

Im still going thru the threads, so i applogize if someone has asked this already. Im on direcway DW6000. And recently we noticed they blocked p2p. I was considering Wildblue. But didnt wanna invest the money into another satilite to have the same problem again. So far the only main web pages ive had problems with on Dway is Say paypal.coms nextels, and bank of america. Theres a few others, but nothing i visit much. Bank of americas ive gotten to work if i use mozilla explore. But no luck on the other sites. Do yall have problems with logging in to those sites? Or is it just a dway issue? Thanks Jen

Only thing I can figure is im to in the "woods" we are surrounded by woods.. But our street runs along a major hwy to.. lol (and sadly no other option but dway or 24k dial up)

I found yall thru google. lol. I have been looking all over google to find out wtf direcway/hughes is doing.... I noticed limewire wont work. And have slowly found out thru a few google searches and forums that they are blocking p2p (were u share mp3,doc,etc files) I havnt found were they are admiting it yet. But alot of weriod stuff happening. I didnt know the DW 4000 would go at that high of speeds. God yall were luckly lol. I came in when the dw 6000 was out. And every speed test i ever did ranged from 500-maybe if i was lucky 800 lol.. Uploads always been crap.. Might as well go on dial up for that. Im gonna read thru this group and see what all is posted. I just joined a few mintues ago.
