  3. Hello, thanks very much for the replies. I tried powercycling but it won't work. I turn off my computer and modem and turn the modem on. I wait a few seconds for it to have a connection to the ISP and it connects. Once i turn my computer on and log onto my username i try to go to a website and the connection to the ISP suddenly cuts out. I then start all over with the router back on and it works. Bleh totally flustered here i don't know whats going on.
  4. Hey guys, i'm having a bit of a problem with my modem. It seems every time i connect my modem directly to my computer it gives me a limited or no connectivity error but when i connect my modem to my router and then to my computer it works fine. How can i get it to work so it works fine when directly connected to my computer? I have a linksys modem : BEFCMU10 and Windows XP SP 2 any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hey has anyone successfully gotten Comcast to install an extra cable modem on your house? I just moved into a house with another guy with a Comcast internet subscription and I'm trying to get Comcast to transfer my account on the same house with another modem installed on my room. Ive called them once they said they could do it and it would take a week to recreate an account or whatever and they would call back in a week. A week passed and no call. I tried calling again on the 17th and this time she kept me on hold for about 20 minutes while she "builds" the account and then told me she'll call me in 3-5 work days. and so I wait yet again. Just wondering if anyone has done this successfully or are they just feeding be BS.
