  1.   I really like avg. As well avg anti spyware of late has found stuff so many other programs have missed. Both are free. I like comodo for a firewall. Comodo is free.  Startup Inspector is handy not only to control startup programs but to help track down nastys when your computer starts. Helps you find out if the program is needed and what it is. If it dosent know it offers a link to google it. It is free as well.

I can say forsure that useful computer programs really dont follow the rule "you get what you pay for". I find free programs work just as well and sometimes even better than the "paid" ones.

Exactly and norton is exspensive and well plain out sucks  :evil6:

  2. Awkward normally I get 3 megs down and .5 megs up (usualy 520'ish) and right now I'm getting a whole meg and a half faster down but slower up  :2funny:

  5. Good luck tstillery.

Keep your eyes open and you will be fine.

And when walking throughout the desert look out for Camel Spider's. They don't go does easy, they are bitch to hit and it usually takes 2 or 3 rounds.

In case anyone doesn't know what a Camel Spider is this is one. and they get alot bigger then that.

Theyre not as big as you think compare it to the hand at right theyre like probably 4 inches though I hear they get up to 6 inches big

  6. Just a quick note about "Degraded".  I recently had a similar problem with my 7000s.  The level 2 tech told me that the 7000s can cause problems with the radio transmitter, mine is 1 watt.  It can make it fail or just cause it to act flakey.  The tech got me out of the woods by having me do "Force Ranging".  It ran for about an hour before I saw any success.  Now I'm back flying better than ever.

Best sat speed I think I've seen yet.

  7. 1. Don't replace anything.

    2. Don't buy any more software.

    3. Find out your advertised speeds from your ISP

    4. Ask them to check your modem's signal levels. Ask them if it's doing well. (It probably is).

    5. If your laptop is under warranty, make use of it. You paid for a high-end laptop. That gives you the best tech support as well. Dell techs are well qualified. If you can have a tech come to your house and look it over, do so.

    6. Your computer has some type of "goback" or restore feature. Utilize that option, but before you make any more software changes, be sure to backup your data.

    7. Start from scratch. This is the last option if anyone suggests anything else that fits between this step and #6. If you choose this step, I recommend to have step 5 to do so.

    =)

    All really good advice.
