  1. haha...i still can't get it up to 400. i've been doing the css settings with the help of the TCP/IP analyzer and the css calculater. been jumping from one AP to the other. been cleaning my system with ccleaner. haha oh well, one of these days i'll join that 400 club. haha
  2. @gourame - thanks!! i'll give it a shot. will let you know how it goes.
  3. haha i'm pretty sure they have that as their spiel. "sorry sir, we're currently upgrading" hahaha yeah right. i can just imagine how many calls we make a day and rant on their friggin' ears while they try to end the call as soon as possible. haha
  4. hmm...is this true? i hope they could upgrade our bases here in the metro.
  5. @jun101ph i believe so. i experienced having no connection or limited connection only for a couple of days (upgrade maybe?). but one thing is for sure, it's unreliable. no matter how many tweaks that we do, if the provider itself is incompetent, we're bound to have crappy connections. nonetheless, thank you guys for making this whole thing a little bit bearable.

  7. @grift3r74 i think i'm using gourame's settings. lemme double check. the difference i noticed though when i used cablenut is that my upload speed got faster. guess i can't complain since one of them got higher. hehe yeah, i'll check in with gourame once he's online. thanks bro!!
  8. hi guys! been quietly observing this thread since i got my smartbro a few months back. i did the tweak that elijahpaul posted and so far, it has been stable at 350-380 kbps (except for 2 days wherein i only got limited access) i also used the color code but the only problem is, the other color code with a higher RSSI has a high jitter rate as well. so i switched back to my original color code. now i'm using cablenut but i couldn't see any difference. or do you need it to optimize for a couple of days before seeing an increase in speed? (thanks for all the tips!!!) :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 357 Kbps about 0.36 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Download Speed is:: 44 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 310 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 38 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/07/02 - 8:14am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-FCZ0HIVTW U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-T4UM0JXIF User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 [!]
  9. just got connection a few days ago and i couldn't help but notice the poor feedback on the provider. luckily, i was able to find this site and did some tweaking as well. here are the results. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 360 Kbps about 0.36 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Download Speed is:: 44 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 368 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 748 kB) Upload Speed is:: 45 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/04/18 - 3:16pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-UMYT6OBWV U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-KA9VNF6J3 User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) [!] jumped from an average of 260 Kbps thanks guys! made my day!
