I'm DHCP. I released the IP on the Actiontec and then replaced it with my router and it worked like a champ.

I know this has been answered in various forms but I'm asking for clarity. I'm looking to replace my Verizon Actiontec router with an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station (the new one). I'm in Irving, TX. Am I understanding correctly that the router needs to be configured for PPPOE and the username and password can be anything and the router will then connect to the service?
