I only have access to my Sprint wireless connection atm, but i will do a tracert to each ip. I will get tracert/ping times from my at&t dsl line and my works 400Mbps link with at&t tonight and see how much better they are.

Still below 10Mbps. Why? Because a lot of people will still be on DSL or under 10Mbps cable internet. People like me who can only get Sprints EVDO service or satellite internet.

Speeds are slow for me. but it could be that i about 500miles away from the server to and the route it takes is not the best.

That status window is a running total, not speed.

Download Speed: 1163 Kbps (145.4 kB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 644 Kbps (80.5 kB/sec transfer rate)
Im not saying speed, where it says Current Session Usage: the RX and TX values will never go above 2GB (or 2048MB)of useage. I just reset my router and i will see if it will do it again.

My friend just got upgraded to Sprint Rev A. His speeds increased from 1Mbps/80Kbps to 1.2Mbps/180Kbps. Ping times went down from 200ish to 110ms. He lives about 25miles south of Kansas City, MO. I'll get a speed test if i go over there for our weekly lan.

I use to get slow speeds like that also, then i called Embarq and got a new phone line put into the house and now i connect at 50Kbps all the time now.

You will never see your full 3Mbps down with SBC/ATT because they don't factor in the overhead so you lose about 15% of your speed. My grandparents had 3/512 and got about 2.6/420 out of it, they have now upgraded to 6/768 and get about 5.1/640.
What does your modem log say when you get disconnected? And what does your statistics say?

Here it is here at work.
And on my DSL line.Both lines show the new server is much better routeing/ping times from kansas city.
