    here's what I have for today.

    Using winXP SP2, Linksys router, Linksys wireless adapter. Of course, a Smartbro connection.

    Download Connection is:: 463 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 579 kB)

    Download Speed is:: 57 kB/s

    Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Main)

    Test Time:: 2007/10/14 - 3:11pm

    Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 17.96 sec

    Tested from a 579 kB file and took 10.25 seconds to complete

    Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 84.46 % faster than the average for host (smartbro.net)

    I'm planning to give up my Smartbro account and move to a Globe account. Heard of their promo? 1.5 Mbps for P995 a month. Unless Smart has something for me, I'll be migrating very very soon.

    Prepare to hand over lots of cash to smartbro if your planning to switch and terminating your contract. Also, the 1.5 globe 9995 promo is available up to december only and in specific areas...

    It's not that popular because it was not advetise on the t.v.

    512 Kbps Plan is the one that was advertise on the t.v

    1.5 Plan, i've seen and read about this in globe telecomm sites..and yes it is at 995 per month..

    I could have this kind of service but unfortunately i was forced to turn to smartbro because it is just now that the globe lines are installing facilities in our place it would take long befora actual operation.  :shock:

    i guess it does i just took a test not running ccleaner,  used flushdns instead, heres the result. not using both ccleaner gives me 500+ mark

    Tested from a 579 kB file and took 7.681 seconds to complete

    Yeah, it depends on many things I guess. But it is always an alternative. Most actually get better with cablenut. Was just throwing an option in there.  :wink2:

    Yup, actually I ran the TCP optimizer first and adjusted some settings by cablenut.. So Im running two tweaking programs right now... Well, that setup kinda works for me...  :smiley:

    OK, for some results will actually be better with it. I know on satelite it was faster for me.  :smile2:

    Many times I tried to tweak with TCP optimizer and waited a few days but havent got any luck with it.. You just set it to optimal settings right? But i noticed my upload speed went down and no change in the download speed..

    I really tried to like TCP Optimizer but I think it hates me... :haha:

    same method flush cache with crap cleaner  and take the test. works out just fine. nothing new added. same goes with my 2nd xp machine on its 20 step .

    this is sample not using ccleaner before the test.

    All I can say is learn to accept criticisms, especially constructive ones. Instead of badmouthing others, remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and you should respect that. I for one never tried the 20 steps so I cant tell whether it works or not.. I computed my own cablenut settings and have my own computer maintenance. But you should always welcome comments, negative or positive.

    Do you remember what you used to get rid of it? I'm trying adaware now...

    I think i used spybot S&D and also adaware personal.. if that doesnt work. It definitely is Pagefile or system restore problem..

    I also tweaked my pagefile that day so I dont know if the malware I deleted or the pagefile itself solved it... But one of them surely worked...
