  1. so theres a chance i can change my abse station i just need to call their hot line when i encounter that problem?

anyway it only happens when i change my color code i discovered were almost 60 users in my color code which is 2 and i see that in color 157 theres only 19 users so thats why i want my color code to be 157.

Yeah.. Just dont say anything about tweaking your canopy when you call them.

  2. Your connection is: 236 Kbps or 0.2 Mbps

    You downloaded at: 29 kB/s

You are running: 4 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 35.31 second(s)

    Test Browser and OS info: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6

Test ID: XWPK2FNR1 (if this is a screenshot go to testmy.net to see if this is fake)

Tested @ 12 in the morning, still at 200+.

    @ tikoy,

Anykinds will do, but if smart can only give you that kind of speed, you can't do anything about that.. Patience tol,

Try to report it. If needed, bug them.

Yeah. This is true.. You cant tweak anything if the problem is in the basestation and not your pc.

  3. need advice here

i have a download problem im trying to use this software "connectfusion" or

"freshdownload" to speed up my download is this software safe or can affect

    my cablenut tweaks

somebody give some advice what are best thing to do speed up my download

or free safe software that you know

Sorry but i have no idea on both those too. I use "download accelerator plus" as my download manager and also it speeds up your download. It only works on regular dloads and not on P2P and torrents.

  4. im using nvdia video card right now 64mb memory

right now my ram is 320 and im planning to buy a 256 mb sd ram so it will be a total of 512mb because i have 3 slots and i will remove the 64 mb ram card, but i was thinking even i got 1GB ram i think its the process that matters correct me if im wrong...

Your motherboard (PIII) is old so i guess the RAM is outdated too. If you're going to buy current MOBO's in the market, Im afraid your 320 ram isnt compatible.

There are different formats of memory sticks.  (RAM)

I dont know but IMO, I think you should do a complete overhaul of the CPU. Php20,000 (w/o monitor) can give you a kick@$$ PC. I suggest that youll save more and try to build one yourself.. Its a good investment and youll be able to play current games until the next year.

Nice.. But next time dont change the text color to yellow coz its hard to see.  :wink2:

  6. how about my color code 150 is this ok  :undecided:

in midnight and morning my download speed is about 350+Kbps but before or after

launch it decreases down to 50 Kbps

maybe my base station is full.

Thats what im saying.. Your speed's going down because so many subscribers are using the basestation and its having a hard time allocating to many users. The reason you have high speeds in the morning and midnight is because its not "peak hours" or only a few of you are using the internet..

As for your color code, try experimenting different ones and choose the best among them.

  7. RSSI : 769

    Jitter : 5

    Distance : 1.18 miles (6223 feet)

    Link : 10Base-T Full Duplex

Your RSSI is fine. so your problem is really the jitter.

The above post is a basestation problem.. No tweaks can increase it.. Better call for assistance

In Configuration---> Link speeds, uncheck both the 10 base and check both 100 base.. this will change your lan card speed to 100 Mbps instead of ten.

  8. heres my color code 150  my jitter is 6  -76dbm    is this normal :icon_pale:

Thats a high jitter.. Maybe thats the reason for your low speeds. Check also if you have a good RSSI, 500 or more is good.

    help  :lipsrsealed:

when i test my speed in speedtest my ip address starts from no.204 but

when i check my lan my ip address there starts from no.191 is this normal

    can i fix it

in my local area connection my speed is 10.0 Mbps can this affect my internet speed connection  :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:

10 or 100 it will not affect your speed. About your IP address.. its normal so quit worrying.. :grin2:

  9. well first of all my pc specs im using is this at the moment

    PIII 800 MHz

    320 sd ram

i gone to the mall looking for a good upgrade to my pc and heres what ive seen so far.

    - this is a 2nd hand store shop and heres what their best offer so far

    PIV 2.4 GHz                                  2,600.00

    256 dd ram                                  1,350.00

socket 423 PIV mother board          1,480.00

i went to complex store in another mall and heres what i have been offered their and take note this all of this is brand new

    Celeron D 3.10 GHz              2,550.00

    Gigabyte mother board          3,000.00

    256 dd ram                          1,315.00

    another procesor of them is

dual core 1.6 GHz which is 4,210.00

and same main board and ram above...

i only got a limited budget and whats the best and affordable in my budget to buy in there.

i always play online games and surf online when i use the pc so i need some suggestions to help me decide in here

If you are near the Metro Manila area, i suggest you go to Gilmore and buy the parts then assemble your own pc.. Your'e going to save a lot of money like I did and you will have a decent machine..

Also if your into games, a high RAM (512 above) is a must, and also consider a very good video card.

  10. hi im new here :smiley:

plsss help me with my connection in the morning my speed is 300+Kbps

but in the afternoon i only got 100 down to 50 Kbps i already tweak this

i just wondering my upload is 250 to 300+ but my download 50 to 100 what

is the problem plsss help thanks :undecided:

Check in your canopy how many users are using your current color code. My guess is that there are too many of you and the basestation's having problems allocating them.

maybe my base station is already upgraded...

    Cool speeds!!

  11. well, try to adjust it to a setting that will give you satisfactory speed. as long as you can access your canopy, the tweaking is unlimited.  :smile2:

Yeah, this is true. and tweak when you are sure that you dont have basestation problems. and oh, Nighttime tweaking works best since this makes sure you dont have those nasty jitters.

(I dont know if its just me but i find the title of the topic funny :evil6:)

  12. @grift3r74,

That may be it.  Wind's been stronger than usual lately, plus we get random things bumping on our roof -- santol fruits dropping from the tree, some branches, the occasional stone thrown to knock fruits down, maybe a crashlanding manananggal or two... :cheesy:

Thanks, I'll call for assistance first thing tomorrow  :smiley6600:

Also check if your canopy's line of sight to the base tower is blocked by anything. Yeah this typhoons are really a pain in the @$$ to wireless internet connections. Strong rains causes bandwidth disturbance. Well good luck!!

  13. 175460040.png

Can anybody please explain to me why I have dismal download while my upload is at OK speeds?  This has been the case with me for the past two weeks (when the rains came).

    speedtest at testmy:

    share2-WMQLJYH4U&dual=yes&q2=CYUIVHX4D

I mean, I'd be content if my download speeds would be the same as my upload's, but sadly that's not the case.  Online gaming has become an exercise in frustration because of the lag

And my attempts at accessing the canopy always hit a brick wall -- I can't get my Canopy IP address from arp -a (despite pinging 10.0.0.1 as snip07 suggested), neither can I access it through elijahpaul's earlier method.  :uglystupid2:

Basestation problem probably, If it has been weeks youve has that low speeds call for assistance. Maybe the winds realigned your canopy? :smile2: :smile2: :smile2:
