  1. In the bandwidth test of the PLDT, I always get a good result of 2.5+ Mbps, but I don't believe its accuracy and credibility, I always go for the results of TMN.

For me, PLDT is way much better than its wireless counterpart, as a previous smartbro user, I'll prefer PLDT than its sister company, smartbro. The slowest speed that I could get with PLDT is even faster than the average speed of smartbro.

Well smartbro's got another service that they are offering. It's totally wireless, Plan 799, allows you to surf the net anywhere there's a PC. The Smart BRO USB modem is a small, palm-sized device that you can carry with you wherever you go. But it has a catch, it's LIMITED to only 40 hrs! And in excess of 40 hours will be charged P10 per block of 30 minutes! And i believe it totally sucked like smartbro, They don't even advertise it's speed, maybe they are ashamed of how slow it is.

  2. Hey guys, does anyone experienced a VERY slow connection during peak hours these past weeks? Your connection can be very slow, (300kbps) and cannot achieve a 1mbps+ speed. My buddies also experienced this kind of problem, so one of them called the tech support for pldt, and discovered PLDT is experiencing a networking problem. I got this feeling that they are congesting their own network by pushing so hard on advertising, and not their systems. (notice the pldt ads these days?) So my opinion is, the more the subscribers that they connect in their network, the slower their service become.

  3. I mean I'm gonna leave this smartbro threads, not the entire testmy forums. In fact, I am endorsing testmy to my friends, not only those smartbro subscribers but others as well. This thread helped me a LOT, Thanks to elijapaul, coolbuster, and all the testmy moderators for helping users like me  :-P

  4. After long months of spending wasted time and money, my smartbro's nightmare is over. I got a call from PLDT, and got the offer I cant refuse, they informed me to terminate my smartbro contract (6 months to be legit) , I will just add P300 to my monthly internet billI got, so from 999 to 1300, and they will install  PLDT DSL.The dude from PLDT came after 3 days, and look at the difference, from turtle slow to super fast! just P300 difference it's 4X faster than smartbro.

  5. it's located under the SmartBRO antenna. here's a tip: assess the canopy antenna, look for the button you can push to open and slide down the bottom area and the empty RJ-11 socket should be the GPS sync port.

Thanks elijahpaul, I've been waiting for that answer, so going up in the roof is inevitable. I thought the override plug is an alternative solution in accessing the MAC address of the canopy. BTW @ thugster according to my cisco class, the one in the left is RJ-45 and the left is RJ-11

  6. I've read the canopy override plug instruction/manual by elijahpaul, but I'm confused on where to plug-in the RJ-11 override plug. I also don't know where is the RJ-11 GPS sync port of the module. All I can see are RJ-45s sockets

  7. I have the same problem with grifter, I can't access my canopy page and I cannot climb up to see the MAC address of my canopy manually. I wish there is a program that can detect my canopy MAC address. btw is there anyone here that actually used the reset plug? I'm afraid that will be my only solution, use a reset plug
