I just came back from vocation and I put my  Verizon DSL on vocation mode for about 30 days and I just resumed it and the speeds are better

Download Speed: 2385 kbps (298.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 398 kbps (49.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Dude just call them up and tell them to upgrade you to 3.0Mbps for no additional charges... They just going to renew your contract if you don't care.. Its double the speed lol

The advertizing speed is 3000kbps which I get most of it!!!    You may need to download spybot and ad-aware!  REALLY GOOD programs for garbage.  You can download these two softwares from download.com    They are both free and make sure you update them!!!  Good Luck and I hope this helps!!! 

Happy to have dsl ,but I pay 30 Dollars a month and now they raised it to 35 month for some stupid reason. I think its all about fios. They really focusing on fios right now!!

Why does it say that verizon.net gets like 4.0Mbps on the speed result page!!!  And is there an upgrade for higher speed then 3.0Mbps???

Just call them up and tell them you would like to upgrade your speed to 3.0Mbps and they will Renew your contract and they going to tell you if you want to cancel your plan before the contract is over its going to cost you like 30-45 dollars  and stuff like that  Its not that hard> Its worth it!!!

You should call them again and tell them to upgrade your plan to that package, because it looks like you running at the old package!  I told them to upgrade me and they did it right away!  Try this test: http://infospeed.verizon.net/  It also might be  your computer has a lot of spam or different type of garbage.  Go to download.com and download spybot and adaware.  Really good programs. Everytime I see my connection going slow I run them and clean my computer and my speed comes back.  The Highest speed I got was 3100 Kbps  (3.1Mbps)    Good Luck! and call them back if you have to!

I Play Counter Strike a lot and I get likee 50 around there , the lowest I got was 20 !

Just call them up and tell them that you would like to upgrade your plan to the speed of 3.0Mbps and make sure its 29.95 a month because they might of changed it. By the way they going to renew your contract for another year from the day you call!!!  But who cares its only like 30 dollars to stop it SO its all gOOD

You don't have dsl, thats why you get higher!!

Try puting in the cd that came with your dsl, because everytime i get errors I just insert the cd that came with my dsl and it fixes everything!! and if not Just call Verizon and tell them!     Good Luck!

I have a Westell 2200 Also and a Linksys Router b! I called verizon to change my speed from 1.5Mbps to 3.0Mbps, and I asked them if they can send me the Versalink Modem, and they said that I need to be a new customer to get it. So I dont think you need the versalink to get higher speeds.This is my speed with the Westell 2200::::.. Download Stats ..:::

I also upgraded and I asked them if they can give me a modem called versalink so I dont have to have a Modem and a Router which I can just have one modem with the router build in and its also faster then this router.My router is b but versalink is g!!!! But they wouldnt give it to me,they said only for New Costumers .But its ok at least I got my speed faster::::.. Download Stats ..:::
