    Ha, how dopey of me. You were right. Thanks for the heads up! My desktop is working again.

    My laptop with the wireless system is working fine, but my PC desktop won't connect anymore after a reformat. I connected the desktop directly to the modem, but it still isn't working. It appears the IP address has disappeared. My computer is a few years old and is running XP. Anyone ever have this problem?
