I have cable internet with crystal broadband networks. I pay $55 a month. my speed is set to 14mb down and 1.5mb upload.

I'v been thinking of doing this myself. I have a fast cable connection and a slower dsl connection. I'm wondering if anyone around here has tried this before and if so how does it work. Thanks.

If your on at&t dsl pro package you should be getting 2.5-2.6Mb download speed. I also have the pro package as a backup to my cable internet. I would call in and complain or post in at&t direct forum over at dslreports.com If you have any questions just let me know.

Where is the guidlines and where does it say we can't use speedtest.net. I find their speedtests to be more accurate anyway.

I know what you mean about dsl. I had it for a while. It's way too slow. My cable is way better even though its some start up company.

I'v heard 5mb upload, which is pretty pathetic given the download. However i would expect that to go up a lot when they get docsis 3.0 upstream matured and rolled out.

Suddenlink is launching a 107mb download package in Texas. Suddenlink is literally across the river from me. I have windjammer cable now. Please suddenlink buy out my area!

Is there any other windjammer users out there, and what speeds do you get.  It used to be time warner roadrunner before windjammer bought it out.  I get about 14.5 mb download and 768 upload speed.  Also wondering if there is a windjammer cable forum yet on here.

Has anyone seen this new gaming thing.  Supposedly you will run your games using your internet connection.  The games will be streamed from like up to 1000 miles away at your nearest center.  I'm curious how this will work out.  They now have a good bit of backing and also backing from several game publishers.  I just wondered what everyone thinks of this.  By the way i think they are just starting in the US first and then to Britain and other areas.  SD gaming is supposed to use up to 1.5mb download speed and high def 5mb.  It sounds really interesting.  I signed up to beta test it but havn't been selected yet.  I't's supposed to launch in the winter time.   

Yea in our area i think what they basically did is carry over the same speed and price that time warner had on the area.  I'm not sure why the speed is different for the different areas though.  On the website they do advertise it as 10mb.  I guess our area is lucky in that they have kept the same speed time warner had with turbo.   

Thanks, yea i think my speeds are good to considering i live in a pretty rural area.  I live in town but i mean overall the area is pretty rural.

I'm on the 15mb download 768 upload turbo package.  It is 54.90 a month.   I think their speed varies by different areas though.  I really like my connection right now.  I'm basically in an area time warner didn't want anymore.  So they sold these areas to a company called windjammer.   The internet is great in this area.  The other option i have is at&t dsl.  The fastest i could get with them is 6mb.  I'm in southeast Ohio close to WV.  This whole side of the river was sold from clarington all the way down to newport ohio.

Our area has been windjammer for a while now buying out time warner here.  My speeds are excellent.  I'm on15mb download and 768 upload package.  The network was running over time warner network for a good while after the sale.  Now they suddenly switched networks and are now running on qwest network here.  I was just wondering how many other people have windjammer now and what speeds do you get with windjammer.  There is no windjammer forum yet so i didn't know where to post this at.

My area is actually under windjammer now.  However as you can see i'm still running over the time warner roadrunner network.  I have the turbo 15mb package.   

Well i'm transitioned over to windjammer.  My speed has decreased on both the upload and download side.  I get about 7.8mb download and only 512Kbps upload speed.  I don't know what speed i'm supposed to be getting now.  IF you would could you run a speed test and report what speeds you get.  I tried calling their tech support but they seem to be some foreignors that can't understand what you are saying.  Also i think they are raising their rates from what time warner was.  Their regular high speed is now 49.99 without cable tv which is higher than time warner was and less speed to boot.  With 9.99 for extra speed.   

What kind of speeds do you see now?  My area is set to switchover on friday so i was just wondering what to expect.  I'v heard from one source that their download speed went down but their upload speed went up.   

I wonder how much the speed will change.  I seen where the blast will be 10mb download.  I wonder what the upload would be.  It says blast with powerboost is supposed to be up to 16mb.  I"m curious as to what the upload will be.  I'm thinking my area is going to them as well because i heard they sent out letters to the trustees of the township with windjammer being talked about.  ON the bright side in this area they can only improve the cable tv portion of it.  I curently have directv but my parents have their cable tv service and it's not very good right now. 

aproximatly where are you located.  I"m afraid i may be in the same boat. I'm in rural southeastern ohio in monroe county.  The only good thing that i can see that can come from this is if time warner does implement those bandwidth caps,possibly winjammer wouldn't do that?  Maybe wishful thinking.
