Smoking Samwise

Last week I connected succesfully with my wireless router and had internet explorer working terrificlly with my ISP Roadrunner of Austin. Alas, this week, I have to bypass the router in order for my explorer to work. This is no solutiion because I and my wife have our own jobs that we need to connect to and can't do that with the wireless disconnected. Any ideas so that we can get back to wirless & explorrer working simultaniously? Thanks Samwise
