ooooooook, well i got 2 computers now and 1 comcast internet 4mb and a cable modem now

My Desiring : to use the connection between both the computers but no idea how i do that with less expense.

Tech Spec: 1) Both computer has lan card installed and usb ports,

                2) Modem has two output pin. a lan port and a usb port.

I Know : usb gives slower speed than ethernet port but hey! if it worked i wouldnt need to pay a penny for another connection.

My Question: to u all experts out there is.... "IS IT GONNA WORK?" hehe thats wot the subject says too. and now ur turn to speak...

ok thats all the problem was? i figured out the basic problem here i had. i installed the firewall and it caused my connection slow down. now for me firewall vs internet speed. whichever wins our computer loses.

its a good speed but not actually good but i can say its the speed u actually deserve because if its more than caps that 4000 than ot would be considered as good but its near 4000 than it ranks between more than nice and less than good. i hope u kno wot i mean

i never get any  DNS problem, why u all getting it? and if its problem in DNS server ask a new server address and go to network connection> ur lan card properties>click on internet protocol (tcp/ip)>click properties button and select "use the selected dns server". now enter wotever DNS address u kno and thats all. restart. check. and post teh result

u sure jus the tweaks responsible for speed?

I m running IBM Thinkpad P4 M 2ghz and 512 mbram but my speed is like the worst rite now

u better try some tweaks to get over the "3500" thing and to some 6000 thing becoz its like u r wasting money if u dont get ur full speed. all tho computer problems are exceptions

lol daveman u got the same speed but hes better than ur. so man i suggest u to take some advantages of the speed tweaks

the tech who rolled to my house didnt charged me but he was sure a newbie becoz he said "therz sumthin ron wif da computre" i said "ok so wot am i suppose to do? this computer i brought is IBM newly installed windows and the vendors survives in other country" he said " k sow lemme chek et ones agane ef et deednt wurkd wai tel 2morow" i said ok he handed me a no. and said call this and ask them what to do. so u see they jus keep u enrolling with them whole year as a good customer or worst customer service but u always roll with them no matter wot

u mean they were asking u to take the tv service and u jus denied? man it would have cost u nothing becoz the internet wihout tv is 70 but with tv is also 70 which implies that 52 for internet and 25 for ur tv and 3 ur modem rent so its like free tv

no after 6 months they gonna charge u 70 becoz 60 is for 4 which i m going to pay after 2 months and u'll be paying 70 but its more beneficial if u have cable tv package too with it
