Actually the .74 m dish will upload over 500 if your on the right plan. You might get a small increase in speeds with the 1m dish, but from the reports I've seen over on sat forum it won't be much. Mainly the big dish helps signal strength in bad weather...

With the 7000 I think you will rarely see anything over 130 up on a consumer acct with a .78 dish. My downloads are in the 7-800 range. It beat the heck out of dialup but now I also have cable and I use that 99% of the time.

This is the way we like to have tx errors show. But unfortunately it doesn't always happen this way...

The speed was great (especially upload) but after using DirecWay for months with a 1000-3000ms ping, the instant response was incredible... I've never seen anything like it (except when I had a server set up on my home network)... Kinda sad lol...

That's the way I felt when I went from DW to cable a few weeks ago. Sometimes the page loads so fast I don't notice it's a new page and I sit waiting for something already arrived..

For a 3000/256 connection not bad..

HAHA Where I live, the phone providers can't keep the lines on, so they go out every time it rains.

Dway will "try to" balance the bandwidth load on new hookups but with 250,000 commissioned modems out here I'll let you be the judge.
