  1. ianonline, ATM, i'm observing the new AP i'm using with only 956 RSSI and Jitter is also 1as of now they say that field contractors are busy doing there maintenance at our base station here and I confirmed it to the field technician himself as he also has his own shop. Just yesterday at noontime until 6 pm our entire place had no internet because of their maintenance and reason is in our place there base station is already congested so i think they are adding up their receiver (if that's the term or antenna) to fix the problem. Thanks anyways and I will soon update any changes made.
  2. hi there petechez000, I been calling smart techdonothing guys and they say that same blah blah blah base station is being repaired and it's been a week already. The truth is we live in a small town here in Mountain Province and the base station is just a 20 min. ride up the mountain. I actually can see the base station at the rooftop where my SM is connected and it's pointed directly to that station. On our rooftop is a bunch of satellite dish for cable tv that supplies tv here in our place and I actually removed the boomer of one of the satellite and attached my SM antenna. Wow, then i get these unbelievable rssi's but don't seem to enjoy them at 1st. I made some cool panning of the satellite dish and wow i managed to lock the configuration. ATM, I do enjoy the speed even if all 10 pc's in my shop play youtube and walla they love it. I thiink is smartbroken problem now that i get intermittent sync. If only smart has another ISP to compete with there business here like globe or pldt, I would have left smartbrokebackmountain already. I'll update you guys about this if any changes would be made. Thanks anyways
  3. Hello there guyz, Hi, I'm new here and I've been reading the previous post and I hope you could help me here. I'm using canopy 5.7 GHz antenna and also connected it to a reflector dish. I opened the canopy page and it says here that my RSSI is 987 and -56 db and jitter is 1. So I these this means that I should have a good signal so I should surf just fine and play my 9 dragons without any problem. But walla I don't enjoy these results I open youtube and it just keep on buffing for a long time and then move then buff again. I open cmd and continuously ping 1921.168.224.1 and 10.0.0.1 and I observed that I get intermittent sync. What's the problem here? Here is my speed test. ::::::::::.. Download Stats ..:::::::::: Download Connection is:: 61 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 97 kB) Download Speed is:: 7 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Main) Test Time:: 2008/08/04 - 7:58pm Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 146.29 sec Tested from a 97 kB file and took 12.938 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: May need help : running at only 15.76 % of your hosts average (smartbro.net) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-E1DVRLJH8 User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 I already called smartbroken techtalk guys and they say that they're going to send somebody to do the adjustment at the base station and still it's the same. BTW if I remove the antenna from the reflector dish I only get like 34+ RSSI so can someone help me here? Please. This is my 3rd post already and it seems nobody seems to know what i'm asking. Pls say anything so I know that people are around. Good day! and hoping for you brilliant minds.

  5. hi there, I've read your post and you say your isp provider is bellsouth which is now AT&T. Well, I used to work as a call center agent who take your calls here in the Philippines regarding technical problems for bellsouth internet and I tell you even if they merged with at&t there connection really sux. So with all the training and seminar given by bellsouth representatives who came all the way from the United States, one thing for sure they really are a mess up. Here are some tips: 1. Don't install any software that comes from them even there antivirus software it does not work. 2. I agree that when your far from the location of the base station where your cables are connected you get slow speed. 3. Turn off your windows firewall. 4. Select notify me but automatically download and install in the window update. 5. Go to run type msconfig, select services, check mark hide all microsoft service, disable all then restart pc. 6. Make sure you don't have any interference coming from radio speakers, microwave, flouresent light, and even the street light outside your house could interfere with your connection. 7. Download mozilla as your browser, it is not as sensitive as IE, install and choose don't import anything. 8. In your antivirus software control settings, locate and find exceptions and add your online game exe files as exceptions. Tips to calling there techtalking no help guys. You see when we work its all work in there and we get a lot of pressures so we as tech support really hide our feeling when you call. Sometimes when you stumble a tech who just logged in on his shift, he might still have a fresh and cool mind so he helps you with all your problems until he can't do it and calls assistance from a tier2 tech until nothing is solved hehe, that's the routine all day long inside there. 1. Tell them you already power cycled your connection. 2. while talking to them open cmd and ping there server 192.168.1.254 continuously type: ping 192.168.1.254 /t then hit enter 3. tracert also any website the you know: Type tracert www.yahoo.com then enter if you see a lot of asterisk this means its a problem with at&t 4.Techs there could open port forwarding to host your online game, so be sure you know the port of your online game. To be sure email the support group of your online game so they would tell you what port should be opened. Then call at&t and tell them to port forward the ports the online game support team gave you. 5. If you're so desperate on sending a technician in your place to check for wiring bluff the call center agent that if the problem is on your part you would pay the $80.00 dollar charge and if its there problem tell them to get a rebate. And tell them to tell the tech who is dropping by to bring an extra modem just to be sure. This is if you are sure that there is no problem on your computer. Sometimes those tech guys they are sending don't know what they are doing coz all your data is seen on our part, coz we could disconnect you, reconnect you, reset your connection and activate your account. I could tell more of Bellsouth and AT&T's black side story but I hope this would help you. I'll be glad to help you more just let me know.
