finally a short clip of the Guitar playing Skeleton Testmy.net Xfinity Toyota Camry Today running Bristol. 

I'm running the Nvidia GTX 460M, But I was under the assumption that OBS Studio used  a CPU Based encoder(X 264)  to create the video files and I figured since my GPU is pretty maxed rendering the iRacing .rpy files so I can view them  using the CPU and Ram Would be my best option. 

 

I think my best option is to either find a pawn shop that has a decent case and MB or just a case and then start getting the MB etc as I can until I have a finished system.

I do not really need to much just a decent MB, RAM, GPU  I have a Awesome USB WIFI Adapter,  USB Sound Card, a couple HD.s  Keyboard Mice, Monitors.

Only need the most important stuff, Like I have a great car just no Drivetrain LOL.

Well dang got some new pics while killing it at Watkins glen then jut realized I already have my MENCS Toyota uploaded.

 

My LAME POS I call a computer still will not encode from a replay file to a MP4 without it skipping(pausing) Lack of GPU power I think.

 

I doubt it is CPU or Memory 

i have a i7 quad core 2.9ghz and 12gb ram never see it use more then 20% ram or 20% cpu 

now GPU is most time ( even when overclocked to maximus of 825 MHz GPU clock and 3100 MHz Memory Clock 

it shows 96% memory use and between 80-100% GPU usage

But still works fine for racing so until I can come up with some $$ or find some misc spare parts and build a system I am stuck with what I have.

OK so I was able to get a few  well 3 cars

Plus I have 2 people I run with now using your site to check their internet as any ping much over 133 causes problems ( cars will blink in and out of reality and it can cause huge wrecks etc.)

 

Oh also the guy who streams our monday and thursday races  

VRN (Virtual Racing Network)  uses your site to keep his connection in tip top shape

Sorry was working on that when my computer decided to go on strike and it took me most of sunday to beat it into submission

probably only reason it is still powerful enough for 75% of anything I do is because it is a ASUS ROG from 2011.

 

 

I know this was started like eons ago but my 1000 cents are needed here.

A Air compressor is absolutely fine, though to be honest set you PSI to about 20 first (depending on your attachment ( Air Snozzle) it can carry a huge punch.

if 20 seems weak slowly increase until you feel comfortable.

I use a Desiccant Air Dryer and 3 Filters  directly off compressor is a Water separator then a oil remover then desiccant then final filter ( I do not say you need this I also Paint Guitars, Car Parts Neighbors Dogs  err I mean cars SO I need those items plus dryer) Also my area is quite moist 375 days a year so I can collect like 1/2 gallon water in a week easy in my tank.

 

I have been building computers and repairing Peavey Commercial Series Professional amps (computers since 2001 amps since 2009) using a vac and hose to me would be sketchy at best, like rubbing feet on dry carpet then sending that nice spark directly into MB.

Of all the electrical items I Have worked on those Peavey CS Amps are IMHO indestructible, I bought a CS 1000X ( one time cost $1 per watt) that was said to be for parts only due to being flooded in florida 

I received it opened it was shocked to see so much MUD inside,  disassembled all boards, replace Pots (Potentiometers X2) Had to blow the HEck out of it and use my tooth brush (retired) and a few cans of Electrical contact cleaner and in end it works great and I still use it to this day.

Those amps need to be cleaned every 3 months if used daily due to massive air flow through Heatsinks.

My point is I Have been using a air compressor to blow out all sorts of items for a long time with no ill side effect.

But must use common sense.

Unfortunately I have a ton of replays saved but my computer will not create a decent youtube (or any video) I can share that

does not pause and skip etc.

WHat I ca do for now is get screen shots of each and once I can afford a better computer or figure out issues then get videos.

Though I am doing the NW League series which is brodcasted to youtube (Xfinity mondays and CW Trucks on Thursdays)

Seem sfor some reason daily I find I need to restart my Modem/Gateway as speed goes into toilet.

Like todays test I think I am 1/2 Download speed and 1/10 upload of normal lately.

I get a ton of uncorectable Codewords listed to I have no Idea Why or what that is and I trust 

the answers I would get from xfinity as much as I trust the government.

Also anyone noticed slower speeds when say an Iphone or Ipad is connected 

I should sayhigher ping rather then speed.

Even though the 5 Ghz AC connection has 1 connected device ( this One) seems ping goes way up with those devices connected even if idle.

Probably has to do with the Gateway to xfinity connection rather the the Wifi.

 

So here is my question what is a correctable and uncorrectable codeword and how concerned should I be to see like multiple thousands of these on my gateway that was reset like 29 hours ago?

I have  added my snippets It may be nothing I just want to be sure as i do not recall the uncorrectable ever being this high so fast. maybe if it had an uptime of say 1-2 weeks but not 29 hours

 

BTW these #'s start at 1 and go to 33 I did not include all as i felt it was overkill 

I just seen a email my Teamate sent ( the one who does all my paints) He has now added the Testmy.net Logo to every single vehicle I run on IRacing.

So now I have a boat load of replays to get converted  so you can see them.

So I noticed after Windows did its Windows 10  Update that a few of my settings in TCP Optimizer ( not to mention speed decrease)  was present.

Just a  FYI for anyone wondering what happened after update, If you notice speed decrease.

If you use TCP Optimizer you will see what I mean if not I am not sure how to explain which settings were changed  Sorry.

 

I recently ran the A Class Race ( Monster Energy Cup Cars) and the B class ( Xfinity Series Cars) and saved the replays but have not had chance to convert them to .MP4 but will post link as soon as I get them converted and uploaded.

im kinda disappointed about quality

 i do have teammate  one who did paints has great computer i may send his the rpy files and have his run the sim and record the videos be much better quality for sure.

I just noticed the video is skippy, I just think some days my GPU  canot keep up,

Plus Imay have forgotten to set it to the overclocked setting until like 4 laps in 

if quality gets better and stops skipping that is why sorry about that, I will redo it with proper GPU settings Monday ( lol it is monday ) but later this morning after I get some sleep 

So here is a short few laps I ran at Chicagoland with most updated graphics.

BJ Sheldon ( My Teammate) did the amazing graphics for me and did a great job.

BTW my speed is better using WIFI ( ASUS  USB AC68 Adapter 1.3 Gbps ) then using the onboard Realtek Lan 1.0 Gbps wired into Gateway.

Plus so sad seen using the (Xfinity Test) they say I get 998 Mbps/45Mbps but I know that is a farce plus watching speeds jump all over the place.

I sure am thankful you have a site we can get realistic speed results , I doubt I ever use any servers in portland where you know I use iRacing ( Boston MA) servers almost daily and is nice to get realistic results from that distance .

I Have the Testmy.net on my B class Xfinity  Toyota  and my A class Monster Energy Toyota also will get those posted soon . If Dodge ever comes back to Nascar I will then be running MOPAR Vehicles

Wow did not know that, I tried using the capture supplied by iRacing but  are GPU dependent while I Found OBS will use CPU to encode it so it seems to work better.

Ill get some for you today and post them to Youtube and send links.

Absolutely, Plus my favorite feature provided is I can go back and say  ( I do not care what your recommended Tests say) I have a list of test dates and results and look at this date it drops to ?? ( Whatever) when for SO  long I was in this range and yet now ( My Reliable And documented) site shows something wrong so you need to fix it .

End of conversation until you fix your end period.

I found a long time ago that 90%  (well Maybe at 80% now) of their suggestions and or excuses are 100% BS.

I once argued with a tech and finally got so upset  I said next you're going to say the reason my speed is slow is because I have a black cat .

SO funny after you mentioned what to do with Xfinity , in the mail arrived a letter showing all new packages we were elidgable for.

SO supposedly we now have 1 Gig down/40Mbps up need to hardline it to be sure.

BTW I mentioned the site in a Iracing pre race setup and the guy who does all our Streaming and brodcasting/analyzing uses your site a lot to be sure his system is up to snuff.

Plus I sent my teamate over to check you out and be sure his connection is good.

Oh I just had a great Idea do you have any .jpegs or special graphics you would like to see on a Iracing Truck or car and truck?

For al the help you have provided and the ability to show xfinity how I have a log of tests I can pull when thir crap goes south it is the least I can do.

I just need a jpg, or so you would like to see on a vehicle.

Oh Heck, That would be amazing,Though for LOORS  you may need to have the EMT's on hand and a good Neurosurgeon and some of those landings are going to be painful.

If these things accurately respond as if in the actual vehicle.

I have no idea but I assume these are in the Multiple thousands as far as $$?

I Know I have seen the Wheel-Pedal setups that are over $1500 and I believe I seen one of these Cube/Cockpit setups with the actuators running around $8K alone without pedals, wheel etc.

I have the Logitech G920 setup with Pedals and add on G-Force shifter ( I got a great deal on it used)  Normally around $300 for pedal and wheel and $80 for Shifter I paid $200.

My biggest problem now is my GPU is running at it's limit and that is with some graphics settings turned to low or Off.

I need to start building a dedicated system just for iRacing,  Which really is a great idea as some things I would not need like a Huge HD, More the 16GB Ram, CPU 

I can get by with a say Low to mid Range PC in those regards but the GPU needs to have at least 4Gb ram and be a GTX1060 or better ( with ability to do Triple monitors and or VR.

I have heard though that VR can cause motion Sickness and I Get motion Sick super easy so VR maybe off the table. ( I had issues with new glasses making me sick at first) heck even took me a few days with a 32" monitor ( finally set at proper FOV) to get where I was not a bit woozy  and dizzy after a race.

I noticed iRacing has added a new feature in 2019-S-3 Update that shows the IPV4 and IPV6 servers and the ping etc (though do not see the actual IP addresses.

I will get a snippet if I can or at least what the info shows .

I have posted some videos I made of races on you tube ( the ones within last say 2 months I started using OBS instead of the in Sim recording software which seems to work better ( OBS I can use my CPU where in sim was using GPU which is already maxed just to display replay let alone try to encode and save it as a different file.

 

Nope all servers I have seen are in Boston for North America, they have 2 in Sydney  , heck next time i am on I will look at what  servers say for practice and get a list, I do know they have a list of them as some IPV6 and Some IPV4.

and yes I have the Steering wheel, Clutch, Brake and Gas Pedals and a 6 Speed plus R HHh shifter. LOL most call them H shifters but pattern is more like if you had 2 Cap and one Lower case h combined (7 gears total including reverse ,plus whee has paddle shifter if needed) 

Yea it is super in depth , plus they now do LOORS (Lucas Off Road Racing Series) Pro 4 and Pro 2 Trucks, World of Outlaw Sprint cars  etc.

I am working on getting or building a Cockpit setup ( where Pedals, shifter, wheel, monitors ( unless using VR) is all contained in one usint with a racing seat setup .

I am still using a desk like setup but it works good for now though a 2 hour race can get uncomfortable.

Nothing like the 5 hour one they just ran at Charlotte I could not do that long at this time.
