  1. Airnet's Techs will be going on the road and posting their test results from all the back-haul connections on the network. Our subscribers are also encourage to post their results, this will give Airnet more information, and therefore be able to improve on it's networks capabilities.

  2. It's been confirmed on another site and via a few users there, that Xplornet is throttling RapidShare speeds. RapidShare is purposely targeted by the throttle.

So if Xplornet says they don't throttle RapidShare? They definitely are.

And throttling by the clock and not by primetime slowdowns, when some throttling is needed to conserve/share bandwidth.

Paying users of RapidShare get full speeds from RapidShare and that isn't happening anymore, unless it's the middle of the night.

Also ask your Government representative why Xplornet still has not joined the http://www.ccts-cprst.ca/en/ As Xplornet makes more than enough money per year, for the mandatory joining criteria.

All this un-documented heavy throttling is going to dig a deep pit for Xplornet to fall into one day.

Where else is Xplorenet being complained about???

  4. Yes, it is Line of Sight. Unless you are really close, then it can go through trees, etc. Anything over distance, needs a clear line.

I don't think it is microwave. I think it is just a 802.11 wireless connection, but fixed point to point.

I see you have found us here also, thank you for your very positive comments.

Your Speed test shows what you paying for, which is excellent, at last a speed test site we can rely on.

I post my speed test results, but because I have an "unlimited" account, I am showing the capability of the link I am on. Depending on time of day and usage we have gone all the way up to 20mbps. Also note this is on one of our backhaul links that require an upgrade in antennas.

We will post another one later one when we are in evening rush hour.
